Cyrax: The cyber ninjas were, in my eyes, just a short term fix for Sub-Zero while Scorpion was out of the game (the original MK3). Where as Sektor has the whole cool, psychopathic vibe, and Smoke has the Sub-Zero buddy vibe, Cyrax is just another villian turned good. That gets kind of old after a while.


Nightwolf: This character always struck me as lame. The whole Village people get up, the magical arrows. I just didn't like Nightwolf.
I'm really unhappy that he's coming back.



Any original MK4 character: Let's face it, other than Quan Chi, who is a classic MK character, every character created in Mortal Kombat 4 was just a clone of another character. The few who weren't just sucked. They had terrible character designs, unoriginal movesets (Jarek was actually Kano with out the cybernetic eye it seems.)

Cyrax had more potential as a bad guy. I liked how he was evil and his self-destruct fatality had that awesome laugh - very Predator-esque. He is "ok" now.

I would like the following characters to NEVER appear in an MK game (unless it is a compilation like Trilogy) again.

Johnny Cage (he's done enough damage already)

Li Mei (Very un-original and fits more in Tekken than MK)

Nitara (I like Vampires but Midway could've been more original instead of giving her wings, a more Nosferatu look would have been better for MK)

Liu Kang (I don't mind him returning as long as he is NOT the hero and main character)

See, I don't see the problem with johnny Cage. He's a sort of unintrusive character. You don't have to attach him to any rival or Buddy, like you do with certain characters (put sonya in the game and you need Jax and atleast one other character to revolve around her.)

I'd personally also like to see the whole modern vibe from the special forces get dumbed down. I think it kind of screws up the vibe.


I honestly would keep Liu Kang out until Mortal Kombat 8 personally. the thing is about Mortal Kombat now, is that it's not a tournament anymore, so even if Liu Kang came back, he wouldn't be "tournament champion." he would just be another hero fighting in a war against the forces of evil.

Smoke
Ten years and now he's coming back? He's what I call a fan-forced character. Brought back only because he's insaneley popular. He has no reason to return, other than making die-hard Smoke fans rush out and by the game (I mean no offense to anyone, but I really hate it when Midway does that).

Scorpion
Here me out. Scorpion needs something to do. If you're not going to move him away from Quan Chi, I say get Shang Tsung or someone to banish his soul to a place of no return. Scorpion has to live withself after not getting revenge for his family and clan.

Sub-Zero
He's getting old. Literally. I hope they have the Dragon Medallion eventually kill him, allowing another ice Lin Kuei ninja to step up and use it. Frost is one possibility, but I think it would be cool to see Frost's son take it. We have Sub-Zero die of old age, then Frost's son, taking up the name Sub-Zero, takes the Dragon Medallion and is twenty when he has the same skills as Sub-Zero now. He would of course be Sub-Zero VII with Sub-Zero VI being his uncle.

Kabal
I wish they kept him dead. I believe they wanted to kill Kabal off and establish Kabal, now this fan-forced character returns and now it looks like a budding character will pay for it.

The only character I can think of that I really want to see gone.. For good. NEVER SEE AGAIN..............................

1. Smoke - he will never be Cyrax or Sektor, and he is pointless

3. Li Mei/Bo Rai Cho - pointless, and frankly not amusing (in Bo Rai Cho's perspective)

4. Saibot - at least give him a little better costume then this complete blackness...the pictures of MKD show this wont change much...

5. Sonya - one of my favorite characters ever, but one of the originals has to go sometime, and personally I would rather Kano to come back over Sonya...and one of them (or Raiden) will be dead real soon

6. Johnny Cage - keep him if you want, evolve him, we dont know much about him except the same things explained in ever game...but if he dies one more time, keep him dead

7. Jax - he clearly isnt going anywhere, he always was and always will be 2nd to Sonya, and its hard to see Midway kill of Sonya to make Jax be a leader for once...if she dies, hes gone

Kitana is the original one out of all of those girls you mentioned. It was kitana and mileena. Tanya, Sindel, Li Mei came after, they should be the ones gone. But thats your opinion.


The people I want gone are Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Mavado, Hsu Hao, Moloch, Drahmin, Tanya, Li Mei.

I like what you said about each of the fighter that you have listed. I agree w/most of what you said but there are a few that could stay around.

1.Bo Rai Cho-here i agree. how could somebody that is fat and drunk teach earths warriors? Could you imagine him training Lui Kang?

2.Hsu Hao-Having 2 members of the Red Dragon was a good idea but there has to be losses somewhere. Plus he looked like he was w/the Village People.

3.Reptile-I don't think that they should get rid of him but if he turns out not to be the Dragon King then give him more motive then somebody's "servent"

4.Sonya/Jax-The whole story w/them is all I can stand. If Kano was killed by Mavado then leave out these two please.

5.Kitana-other than being a princess/queen of Edenia, what other purpose does she have? It seemed she morned Goro more than Lui Kang.

6.Cyrax-The whole Special Forces reclaimed his "soul" was a bit "dumb".

7.Shang Tsung-We were told that we have not seen his "true" form. If it's not to see this then don't return him. Quan Chi can return.

The only character I truly honest-to-God want to go away is Jax. I mean seriously, what is Jax at this point but the other, less appealling Sonya? What can Jax possibly do storyline-wise that Sonya can't? He's obsolete.

That said, I'd shed no tears if Li Mei, Hsu Hao, Sonya, Kano, Jarek, Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, Kai, Stryker, and Sheeva went away and never came back.
