Alright, if there are going to be any bonus fights against characters from either universe I would bet that it's possible to get those characters playable via a cheat device like Action Replay. But, even if this doesn't happen, I don't see Midway ignoring the storyline characters...aferall, if the characters are there, why not put them in?

How about characters that were included in the opening scene of MK:DA and MK:D? (Lui Kang, Shang Tsung and Quan-Chi). None of those characters were playable. So i'm pretty sure the MK Team won't add them to be playable.

There's a big difference there. He was referring to characters you actually fight in game, not characters that only show up in cutscenes.

There aren't any cheating device ofr PS3 or Xbox360 though so no.
