Yeah I think that's a pretty cool idea, although I actually like scoprions new look a bit better.

I don't think that there are 3rd alts but hopefully there are. The classics are always a nice touch. It be kick ass if they added Sub's classic, Ermacs and if Reptile is in it... then his old school human look. Noob Smoke should both have there old ones too.

I think there are 3rd alts, because we have seen 2 of scorpions costumes and have heard of his third one( its got bones on it and he has no mask)

Since Scorp has his Mk4 ninja costume, Ermac could have his UMK3 one, Sub-Zero the Mk1 one, Noob and Smoke the Mk2 one. That would be too good.

If Ermac, or any of the other ninjas from the MK3 series get their outfits back, they would all look like a bunch of Scorpions again.

I believe there are 3 costumes per character. We've seen 2 of Scorpion's, and have heard rumor of the third. We've seen 3 of Havik's. His Roman-esque costume with a cloak, Roman costume without a cloak and with a left sleeve, and a fully robed and hooded costume. 3 of Shujinko's, the two from the trailer, and his younger costume seen in Chess Kombat vs. Kabal. Unless you can randomly play Kabal in Chess than that is his third.

There is also the rumor that Liu Kang has three costumes. Spirit, Zombie, and original. I think we've seen his original.

Classic costumes are great. Scorpion's MK4 alt looks great. I could only hope that the other ninjas sport their old school costumes. Noob Smoke with their original Black and Grey costumes, oh man that'd be cool.

how come you always say that Shujinko has alts... he dosn't you make his costume.. allwell.. as for the other chars.. yes i think mabe 1 defualt and mabe 3 or 2 alts..

The tan robe is Shujinko's regular, the white one is the alt, which may or may not be customizable, and then we've seen him in his young form. So why doesn't he have alts?

theres nothing to doubt u itiots, its a fact, people have confirmed 3 costumes, plus if u think about it the thierd ones will all be classic or throw back cuz shujinkos third one is his young form so duhh, maybe SUM of the new characters might not have throw backs but thats all. and plus we've heard from people whove seen scrp's knight type alt, and weve seen his current and throwback, so subby will pry have his umk one since he is classic subby lookin,(my opion), smoke and noob will may not cuz their specal but will pry have their mk2 with minor mod's like scrps, and ermac will have his umk one with minor mds, and who knows maybe rain will be a supper unlockable, NOT, but i wish, hes my second fave, if he was in mk7 he kud have a ing type outfit and be married to sindel, sry just had to get those 2 ideas out ignore them.
