Since this seems to be "core" MK vs. "core" DC what kind of music should we hear?

There's a lot of talk about traditional MK characters being in the game but what about traditional MK stages? Think that we're likely to see Goro's Lair? The Courtyard? If so should they use remixes of the old tunes? Also, what about Gotham and Metropolis? DC Comics is owned by Time Warner which produces all of the DC movies and therefore owns all the "classic" music. Think we're likely to hear the classic Superman theme from John Williams? Should we?

Hehe, imagine the old Batman series theme in this.

"Nananana...Batman! Nananana..." "FLAWLESS VICTORY!"

I know that's a song that would drive me to kick someone's ass. tongue

I would love to hear Superman's music in the background or the music they played when he was saving that airplane in Superman Returns, has that dramaticness to it.

For the Metropolis stage of course.

Batman's stage, hmmm perhaps I'd like to hear either the original music remixed some how or perhaps Dark Knight music from the new upcoming film. Would be badass.

For MK, gotta go with something classic. I loved the Pit3 music, and Temple music. They could bring the Temple back that music was awesome

Yeah, Forden makes hot music. Always has. MK2, MK3, MK4, MK:DA, MKD and MKA I loved especially. MKSM and MKM were great too.

Doesn't the X360 allow players to use their own soundtracks in games? I'm using my Batman/batman returns, andf MK soundtracks for this game.

But if there were any returning music, I'd like the wastelands music from MK II, the pit stage from MKI, and the prison music from MK4

Yeah...because we all know SF isn't selling "Nostalgia" lol gotta love these moot points...sleep

MK8 isn't nostalgia, MKD? Yes, MK8? Umm no.

Besides, in the past few MK's there's only been a few songs that were "nostalgic" and they were remixed. Most of the songs/music were brand new as will this game I'm sure.

Street Fighter really has nothing to do with Mortal Kombat’s decision on being nostalgic.

In MKvsDC, they’re picking characters and stages to represent Mortal Kombat throughout the years, not creating new ones. I just hope the soundtrack steers away from the previous MKs and becomes something new. Remixed tunes from the past isn’t thrilling me too much right now.

But the stage designs do look awesome, Metropolis and “hell”.

If they knew how to properly sell nostalgia, I'd silently approve. Somehow, it never works out that way. Much of the stories of the revived characters are either contrived or just plain insulting. They raped Smoke and Motaro of their novelty, and they turned Liu Kang into a George Romero travesty. It's like they give us what we ask for, but first strip it of anything good.

And nothing kills nostalgia like the stank of inconsistency.

meh, just put in the classic stages with classic music. No remixes, b/c remixes are always hit or miss. They can be awesome, and the can suck really really badly.
