Obviously you've been reading the wrong information, because MK:D is barley going to pass as playable from what i've read/seen (mainly that it's much the same as MK:DA).

If you can get your head around the concept of a beat'em'up game worth playing, the gore will mean nothing to you, because you'll realise it will soon get boring.
There are plenty of gory games, if you want gore, go play them. Hell MK2 had gore, and that got boring, so really it's nothing new.

No but seriously, there are some articles floating around these boards that say some German guy thought the overall gameplay was more fluid. It does sound promising, but i've also read accounts of other people who played it at E3 and such, and they say it's the same for the most part.

I am looking forward to it, because i like MK games, but unfortunatly i'm pretty sure it's only going to hold my attention for 3 weeks, tops (which is fine, because apparently T5 will be released by then).

I just get a little annoyed with threads repeated to such a degree. I've no problem with a thread being repeated once a week, but about 4 in the same week is ridiculous, especially when there are others already on the front page, with far better content (and this places reputation of stupidity is no excuse).

My entire family dropped out of high school before they were 16, as did i, and i'm a hell of a lot more intelligent than half the people on this board (if a little hated).

I don't give a shit if it's not up to standards. I've grown to love the series, the characters and the stories. Thats why I spend my money on MK. Because MK is my favorite fighting game and probably will be for a long time.

And FYI, grades DO matter. Especially if you DO want to make it in the real world, get a good job, and live a descent life, not out on a street corner, or in a trailer park struggling to pay bills and taxes because your working at a small, locally owned bank or Burger King.

And by the way.....the stories and the characters and the mythologies and the whole shabang that IS Mortal Kombat is enough to make it worth playing. 'Nuff said.

It clearly shows how intelligent i am, in fact it was the greatest thing i ever did, and if half the people in high schools today had half a fucking brain, they'd be dropping out too.
The sentance you typed about living a decent life due to having good grades is quite possibly the biggest lie of our time, and i'm sorry you can't see that.

Hear that everyone!? We're all arrogant smartasses for loving Mortal Kombat. And it seems that everyone who goes to school seems to be wasting their time. Hell, if half the people had half a brain and we should all leave, then maybe every country should forget about school. Hell, ya know, why don't I just walk my ass right down the road and let the homeless bum down there become the next big lawyer. Because money doesn't matter, jobs dont matter....whoah...i might as well just go live out on the street because without a good job, without money, i won't afford a place to live. Anyways, back to the topic in hand. Even if MK:D ISNT the best fighting game, it sure as hell is gonna bring the MK series back to full power and hopefully bring some new life into the series, what with new characters, bigger/better story line, and new gameplay stuff like deathtraps. This is what MK should have been all along. And now that Boon and Co. are done making HUGE mistakes, the effects that can be taken to make MK7 one of the best fighting games ever are endless.

Right now you can only say it sucks based on what you've read. No one has played the finished version so it's unfair to say it sucks until you've at least played it. Give the game a chance!
