Yeah, I haven't been a Cage fan since MK2 - only scorpion should be able to come back from the dead repeatedly, in my opinion. Great idea about the consequences - they can use something like that to make good plot twists instead of just killing off Liu Kang! Lol.

yea they could unlock a whole new character that is after Johnny Cage and Raiden, like some unatural creature, oo shit the grim reaper and he can't stop untill he gets johnny cage and brings raiden to justice for tampering with death, and the dragon king could hold something that could put that creature back, that would be Johnny Cage's story.. Oh I'm good.... lol jk

Cage ruled in MK2 and was so so in MKT. But yeah after that he sucked. If he is in it change his plot. Aside from dying, all his plot lines have been the same.

I used to HATE cage... but mk is not the same without the B-class movie star!!! He is the comic relief to the whole thing! I say, liu died, enough retaliation!

Back to the topic, Johnny Cage is a fan favorite. I have to agree his story is boring now, and I hope they change it in Mk6, but other then that, Cage is one of the Originals that make Mk be Mk.

The game just wouldn’t be right without him. Besides, he was never intended to die, he is a fave among the creators, since they fired that guy who was supposed to play him in Mk3, they didn’t have time to make Cage and that’s why they killed him in the story, and they brought him back for the very reason the majority likes him.

Cage is a must.

Whatever the F@#K! Cage died thats that. MKT was his finest hour and they messed it up by bringing him back. For what ever reason they did it, they screwed him in the long run.

On to my idea...

Ressurecting a deceased soul is, by its very nature, an unholy act. Raiden warns Jonny of the consequences, but both knew that Shinnok needed to be stopped by any means. When Raiden gave life back to Jonny Cage he knowingly tainted Cage's soul with evil, enabling him to return to Earthrealm.

Shinnok fell by the hands of the forces of light. Years later the Deadly Alliance was defeated as well. Now the Long forgotten dragon king and his undefeatable army have returned, his sights on Earth.

Earth's fighter confront this new threat and during the battle that ensues, the Dragon King notices something slightly different about one of the Earth fighters, an evil presence. This ever so slight evil dwelling within Cage gives him an idea so he seizes it. The Dragon King uses his power to expoit and multiply this evil with in him many times over, succesfully making him a servent of the King.

This would be great to introduce a new character in Cage's place. I read an idea a while ago about Cage starting a dojo, that would be great! The new character could be a student of his, fighting to save his teacher and the world.

That's actually a pretty sweet idea asmodeus! Hopefully, the student would have his own moves but maybe they'd have the shadow to them like Johnny's Shadow Kick.

How about this for an idea: the Dragon King can control the souls of resurrected beings; therefore, Johnny Cage becomes a general in the Dragon King's undefeatable army.

And Queve, the difference between Cage and Scorpion is, Scorpion has a purpose. I'm not that big a Scorpion fan myself but I can't stand the idea of the MK series ending without Scorpion avenging the death of his family by killing Quan Chi. Cage, however, has no real vendetta, or other definitive purpose in the story. MKDA's basic plot would lose absolutely nothing by his absence, and there are very few other characters about which that can be said.

I agree...without scorpion MK just wouldnt be MK. And I'd care less if Johnny cage wasn't in it.
