I would help, but it's hard to read what your asking when you don't use punctuation
From what I gathered, you need to unplug the ethernet connected to your computer from your modem and leave it unplugged. Then take the ethernet cable that is connected to the adapter on the back of your ps2, and plug it into the hole that is now in your modem. That should be it.
If you still have problems just visit playstation.com - they have a whole section on how to set up you adapter...

I didn't understand what you are saying there my friend, but i'll just walk you trough the whole thing.
You have a DSL modem, right? so you have one ethernet cable from the modem to your computer, you want your ps2 and your computer to be connected at the same time, so what you need is either a dsl router and another ethernet cable (cat5), that is the expensive way to go, but the easiest one too. If you want you can do ics on your computer(Wxp), just install an extra network card on your pc, and configure internet connection sharing so you can use your pc as the router kinda.
Then connect to your ps2 and you are set.
Now you may want to check all your info with the disc that comes with the network adapter for the ps2, because if it is not working plugging it straight from your dsl then there may be a problem in the configuration of the net adapt. check yor isp and all that crap.
hope it helps

Say again I have to take out which ethernet cord the one that is in my pc in the back or the ethernet cord from the front that is in my modem, did you say take out the one from the modem which is already still connected to the back of my computer and hook it up to the back of the network adapter where is says NETWORK on the right side, I have to plugs there the one on the left says LINE and the one on the right says NETWORK.
And do I need to have my internet on for all this to work because if I do it wont work becasue i need the stuff to be hooked on my modem to have internet
And Amirson I have a Windows Me And What is a extra network card does that only work for Wxp-WindowsXP and if not where can you get it

K, you have an ethernet cable connected from your modem to you pc right? or else u couldnt get on the internet.
Remove the cable FROM THE MODEM (you can keep it attached to the pc, it is insignificant after you've removed it from the modem)
Then take the other ethernet cable that is connected to your PS2 adapter and plug it into your modem.
So make sure when u want to play MKD online, that you modem is turned on, and you have an ethernet cable connected from your modem to your PS2 adapter. Also make sure you have gone through everything it tells you to do on the start-up CD that came packaged with the playstation network adapter.
If you have any other problems post here, and I'll try to help...
but what do you mean take the other ethernet cable that is connected to my ps2 adapter and plug it into my modem i only have a 1 ethernet and nothing plugged in my ps2 the only other cord i have is the phone Line do i have to use that and if i do do i take the line out of my modem and put it in the adapter or do i take the cord from the other side which is in the wall phone jack and put it in my adapter or do i need that. And how can I have a ethernet cable connected from my modem to my adapter if you told me to take out my ethernet cord from the modem and put it in my adapter WHILE it is still connected to my computer.
OK,
your phone and your network cable have nothing to do with each other, you need the NETWORK cable, forget about the phone cable, also forget about the smaller hole on your ps2 you need to use the big one, the one that says network. Now that you know which holes and cables to use, just unplug the cable that goes from your modem to your pc (unplug on pc side, leave it on the modem) and put it in the ps2. You will not be able to use the internet on your computer while connected to the ps2 but you can play online.
hope that helps
