Cool weapon Ideas, Smoke uses Rope as weapon (Weapons thread)

This idea was way to precious to waste away in my head so here it is:

The high tech smoke takes out a 6 foot rope, tied in a knot in 3 different places, and uses his weapenry as follows:

---BEHIND the enemy. Puts the rope around the neck and chokes.

---FAR AWAY from enemy, throws the thick rope, and hurts the guy extremely badly, (ropes hurt)

---MEDIUM RANGE from enemy, quickly snaps it at feet, triping a character and making him fall backwards upon the back of his head.

Any thoughts?

Would be cool, but I don't think the rope would fit Smoke. Maybe another character.

Do you mean the Rope dart for Smoke?

The Rope Dart Both Ninja and Kung fu is a powerful and sneaky weapon.

It is a long range with great speed comes to fighting.

Some rope darts can up to 15 feet long.

Also the rope darts can be hid well on a person.

No, no, you dont see the idea, that is the cool thing about it. Like Cyrax has a shredder(not a weapon) smoke can open his chest and pull out a rope! He can have high teck moves, but his weapon doesnt have to be connected with pulse.

Sounds pretty cool to me. A different kind of weapon, not so been done like swords or axes.

Great idea...but i think the rope weapon or maybe a chain version should be used by scorpian...it fits in well with him already using a spear

Orignal. Nice idea. So does the rope fit around the character like a knose or strikes them like a spear?

Well the idea is that he could do both, at close range, he would have the ability to put it around your neck and start pulling on the rope, and from far away, it COULD be somewhat of a spear, the idea is a thick rope would hurt a person if thrown at from far away, with a robot as strong as smoke.

If you mean that Smoke would use the rope for his special attacks, as scorpion does with his spear, then i think it's a great idea (also as mentioned before, a chian could work quite nicley).
Original, and perhaps he could use the rope in a fatality?

Though i dont think it could work to well as a main weapon.

(Dammit! so many good ideas on this site, if only they were actually taken into consideration for mk6 sad)

Maybe since he would be hi-tech. how about some kind of plasma rope. Think of a light saber, only flexible and flickering a little bit.
