How many matches or how many wins in a series in this reg tournament? Can we use the same reg for all the matches or is there a limit?

If it’s a tournament to see who is the best then it should be at least first to 5 win must win by two matches. So if player 1 has 4 win player 2 would need to have 6 wins to win the series. I also don’t see why we would not be able to only pick one character. You should be picking your best character(s) to go for the win.

I like the first to 5 wins with a 2 game lead. We can add first to 10 if the players fail to achieve a 2 game lead. The series can end 10-9, to cap off the possibility of a series that migh end 50-48. ( you never know) I like the ideas of using any one character for the series, the idea of using a characters a max number of times, or the idea of using a character only once. So that a good number of Crazy 88s participate, I will be willing to use any of the above ideas when it comes to character selection.

And as an added incentive, ( Check inadvertantly gave me an idea), I could award the winner a new controller or something. No kidding. Wowiwin, keep your shirt on, I just want to get more 88s involved before I set the date and time, but just make sure week by week you can give me a schedule of your availablity, and your time zone wouldn't hurt either. The tournament committee unofficialy consits of you, me, and Freeze. Ermash88 says hes "da muscle". God I love that guy.

Funkopath, you are funny. lol. I want the Crazy 88 Invitational Tournament to be decided with only one match. I realized that most of the participants ( which is opened to non Crazy 88s) wanted a first to 10. So I gave in (well semi, anyway, I raised it to 3) so as to satisfy the participants, which I feel like I didn't have to. Since most of you like playing to 10 with regs, I want our own Crazy 88 reg Champion to be on par with the rest of the MKA world. I don't want him to be a fluke champion. The best fighters in the world don't need 1, or 10, or 100 games to show who is boss. They can just beat their opponent on call. Don't get me wrong. You are a fine competitor, and as competitors we don't blame anything on luck, we win humbly, or we lose like good sports.

I never lose with good sportsmanshipality, I quit and to make sure I pull the cord, that's right...
I am just joking, I am glad you found my sense of humour in my semi-complaining...
no worries, i just get bored and gotta post something stupid... but i have to admit up to 5 is the best way to go, up to 10 can be a drag, especially if both competitors are on the same level but up to 5 going by the difference of 2 with the maximum of 10 wins should be implemented as a rule for almost every tourney...

A double elimination would even be nice. This way if the 2 best happen to be in the first or 2nd round they could still meat in the finals round.

I like the idea of a double-elimination tourney, hmmmm. We might have to make it May 31st since I will be attending my boss's wedding this weekend. What time (and time zone) should we make it ?
