Well The Xbox360 has in-game XMB, and the PS3 is rumored to have it on the next firmware update. What better than to try custom soundtracks than with MK Vs DC? I mean, I would love to beat the shit out of everyone with Batman while it's playing In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquillity, Behemoth, Kalmah, Netherbird, Amon Amarth, Alghazanth, Insomnium, Lyfthrasyr, Shade Empire, Graveworm, Stormlord, Norther, etc... in the background.

Sure the original music is usually good and goes well with the level and its design. Custom music doesn't have to be mandatory, it should be an option to turn on and off. This idea doesn't only apply to MK, I want this done for EVERY (fighting) game possible. Right off the bat though, the best game I can think of to rock out to some metal is good ol' MK.

Whatcha think? I'm not sure if this was discussed yet. What kind of music would you play with if the game included Custom Soundtracks? Hell, even some badass techno would go well with the fighting genre (especially Tekken). I'm not sure if any fighting game has started this trend yet, but they better start it soon... it's killing me.
