This may seem a kerazeeeeee idea but i was thinking that wouldnt the fatalities be better if they were in a cut scene? it would take a lot more time to make but its just a thought, what does anyone else think???

They seem like Cut-scenes now.I hope the fatality's will speed up in MKD.I think that's one of the reason's the fatality's look dumb now.

yeh it sounds like a cool idea, it depends on how they make it, if theyre like a movie it would be awesome.. but it really doesnt matter

I was thinking that they would be like a movie but because the game is no longer digitised it would look out of place with real people in it,the cut scene fatality would jus make the fatalities more detailed...i mean dosent mavado's fatality look stupid in MKDA?

I liked the idea of Mavado's fatality but it was too slow.

Yeah it was too slow. plus the wierd shape of flesh that comes off his shoes after the fatality,if it was say a cutscene it would be more realistic/detailed

Do you mean cut scenes as in fmv's for fatalities?

That would be really cool, but it would take an fmv for every character against every other character. (Ex. Baraka vs. Mileena, Baraka vs. Sindel, etc) Not only, would they have to be done for each possible character combination, but they would have to be done for multiple fatalities.

This would be a whole lot of fmv's to implement into one game.

Let's say there are 26 characters. 26x26 is 676. Let's say there are 2 fatalities and 1 suicide per character. That is 2,028 different fmvs. Unless the suicides don't include the opponent in the fmv than it would be 1378 fmvs.

Not too mention that unless they did something generic like black out the entire background... they would have to do each fatality combo for each stage. Throw in 20 stages, and all of a sudden, they have to do something like 20,000 - 30,000 fmv sequences. Just isn't possible.

Besides, personally, i prefer just sticking with it in game, as is.

We discussed this before... anyone remember Eternal Champions Challege from the Dark Side on Sega CD.... they had FMV fatalities(or whatever they were called), but the person was transported to the final boss and the boss killed them....
