If he has his own specials he'll be good. I don't think he'll be the best storywise.

special? if you mean special moves, his got afew ive seen. well 3 i can think of right now.
1. Fireball
2. Ground stamp
3. Switch teleport.
and visual i think hie moves are great.

His teleport is awesome. In the one video where he does it, ermac is looking around and totally lost him because he teleports behind him. It is a great move to then bust out some combos on the opponment who has no idea where you are.

That teleport sounds good. How does he do it ?

his weapon has some potential. looks like u'll be able to some good combos with it. but i've been wrong about this in MKDA (i.e. Sub-zero's kori blade).

Personally I'm not too psyched about him. Wing Chun and Escrima aren't exactly the best styles, IMO. Don't know about his sword, though. His teleport seems to be his only useful move, but then again everyone seems to have one now. And where does he fit in the story?

i dont think he has a sword... he has gauntlets or sumthing.. looks like blades from his hands.. sorta glowing if i remember correctly... I wont judge him till i play him i guess.. i jus have to see..

Dairou = Autumn Dao (sword)
Darrius = Gauntlets

Wait, isnt the guy in the pic above Darrius? I'm getting confused on who is who... The pic shows the black guy rite.. he's darrius witthe gauntlets rite? Dairou is the baldy with the ponytail? cool looking sword i think.. arrghh!!!

Dairou = White Bald Guy with long ponytail dressed with samurai armor.
Darrius = Black Bald Guy with beard & sunglasses dressed with orange/blue outfit.

i think his projectiles r the most unique. 1st, the ground stomp thing he doesnt do it with his feet, he falls on his back and gets up, which has not been done before and he's the only 1 that shoots projectiles from his legs, and he looks pretty amazing. so i think he's gonna be a really good character
