Well the game hasnt come out yet so we dont kno that yet. Darrius looks cooler and has a better intro so far but he may not have great stances and moves.

Agreed 100% Darrius is one of my most anticipated characters to try next to Kobra and Havik. He looks so cool, his moves are slick, and I think he has the best weapon in the game. i also love his outfit. I also hate Jax with a passion.

He looks like he has mis-matched armor on with f'ing sun glasses. Sun glasses.

I love his armour and goggles/glasses. They sure beat purple spandex with metal arms adn terrible moveset.

I agree also, Darrius is going to totally kick ass, I like how thwy made him a "good" assassin and the weapon he uses suits an assassin perfectly!

I'm not saying he's not an improvement. He definately is. I never once said Jax wasn't generic. I'm just saying he does not look cool in anyway and still looks generic. They could have done something a lot better. It's just funny he is like Jax in the way that they needed another "ethnic" character just because, so they threw something together. He doesn't look well thought out.

I think he totally looks like a slick assassin especially when he's sporting those gauntlets. He almost has this futuristic look to him. The look suits his story and character.

I know he has 1 cyrax move...does he have any jax moves? Is there anything connecting him to jax at all? Is he the sequal to jax?

If anything I'd say Dairou looks a little too generic. He almost looks like nightwolf in the sense that he looks almost exactly like a native american warrior. I still like him and his moves however.

From the moves I've seen, Darrius looks pretty impressive.. Then again, the game isn't out so I won't have a final verdict until around mid-October.

Just reading the title the first thing that came to my mind was, "How the hell would he know? Has he played Deception?" No offence or anything, but you really don't know jack **** about gameplay other than his styles, for all you know he can have the crappiest combinations out of anyone. Don't go saying he's a million times better than Jax before you even play the game.

Although Darrius looks cool, he, so far, is unimpressive.
I cant fully judge him till I play the game of course, and till I learn all about his story, but so far, there is nothing new about this so call “replacement” of Jax.
The reason why he doesn’t look impressive or fully original is because of your very reason, he does seem like a Jax replacement.
His model fits Jax perfectly, not because he is a black guy, but he sure has that “Jax” thjing going on, this is MY opinion (just in case).
I don’t like or dislike Jax, I think he is in the middle, and has potential, but I agree he needs to take a break from another Mk game, but to have a character so alike him (clone or replacement) is not a good thing to do.
I by no means consider Darrius a clone, he looks amazing, and I need to find out more about his story in order to judge, but so far, he looks unimpressive, very cool, but nothing new.

I didn't really like Darrius when I played MKD at Gamestars Live.

His Gauntlet style didn't impress me much.I was kinda hoping for some spinning attacks but most of them were straight lunges.
His story is still very appealing to me though.

Well, I've actually PLAYED the game and I can tell you that Darrius is shit looking.

Darrius is going to be something like what Tanya was to MK4, me thinks.
