I know this has already been discussed quite a bit, but I want to know once and for all whether or not death traps and stage fatalities are the same thing. Is there anyone on this forum that knows for sure? Thanks a bunch.

LOL i cant belive u said thanks a bunch, that so funny i have an inside joke about that. Anyways There is a difference betweeen the two, u can fall into a deathtrap at anytime of the match, as if with stage fatalties, those can only be activated at the end of the match with a combination like the old Mk games.
Thanks a bunch, Jordan.wink

Actually, the meat grinder is a death trap. In IGN's second trailer, it clearly shows Ermac knocking Noob (or is it smoke? Gah!! People have so many conflicting views on this game I have trouble distinguishing legitimate facts from bullshit) into it mid-fight. If there are stage fatalities, we haven't seen them yet (to my knowledge, anyway).

I've often wondered about this as well, are they the same thing or is a stage fatlity something else?

It sounds like the same thing to me.

I don't think there are going to be Stage Fatality's in Deception. Just Death Traps. I just don't see the logic in having two things that pretty much do the same thing(obliterate you) except some you can do anytime and others you have to do at the end of the 2nd round. I mean, if Stage Fatality's WERE in Deception, I don't think the Death Traps would be as gruesome as they are. You would think they would save it for the Stage Fatal.
And does it kind of bother anybody else that you can knock your opponent into a Death Trap in round 1 and see him pulverized into bits... and then fight him again in round 2!? ALSO, do you think that it will say, "FATALITY" after preforming a Death Trap? Maybe it won't in the first round, but, if you knock your opponent into a Death Trap in the SECOND round it would say it. Hmmmmm...
Just wondering. This game is still going to OWN!

Well we know that death traps are activated by the switches..

I disagree with the death traps performed in round one having no effect for round two.. hmm..

"Wtf?!" is all I got..
