I think Deception is gonna pave the way for fighters to come back personally. Its gonna have everything you could ask for. For me, ive always wanted a fighter/rpg, and in a sense, deception is gonna fill that need. And im glad they are adding some kickass ideas to Mortal Kombat like the stage fatalities and such, NOW THAT is a innovation in fighting games for sure.

This game is gonna be something special, watch and see.

How long do you think midway plans on going with the MK franchise? Not that its bad or anything, i'm just curious.

As long as it makes money,the second MK doesn't sell anymore that will be the end of it.But it's safe to say that MK has a very big fan base and will continue to sell for a while.

MK is not about the money, however it does provide them for the ability to make a follow-up, MK will be around as long as the ideas keep flowing, and the fans to keep playing! Long Live MK

This will be a new innovation for the fighting genre. Like some others said, it has everything you can want
- the bugs and flaws of MK:DA perfected
-more elaborate and RPG-like Konquest
-more detail and interactivity in levels
-secrets
-thie list can go on with everythign about it

That is why MK is such a power-house name when it comes to fighting games.

Of course MK is about the money. Like all companies, if nobody buys, they go out of business. If Midway isn't making any money off MK they won't fund the production of MK and therefore it won't be made unless for another company. And if MK wasn't making money, then what company would accept it? Ideas that don't get capital don't make it.

Kombat is definately evolving...
Every MK has added quite a lot of new stuff, but MK:D
sounds like a HUGE step forwards!
Konquest and Chess Kombat sound really interesting,
and you know that an MK7 will improve the modes
and add EVEN MORE kool kontent.

I thought MK would always be just a fighting game
(albeit a really good one)... Man, I can't wait to see the
future of MK...
