The only good bands I've heard suggested to do the song are Slayer and Cradle Of Filth. 'Cause lets face it, Adema sucks and are not meant for Mortal Kombat, the song sucked also. Maybe you like Adema but they do not fit into Mortal Kombat. I always imagined Mortal Kombat music to be done be heavy/death metal bands and such. Just have real loud fast music aka Metal. Mudvayne is not metal and neither is Rob Zombie, sorry. Nu-Metal is NOT Metal. If a band does a theme for Mortal Kombat, they should make a brand new one, not just hand over an oldie. For the Soundtrack behind battles and such, sure. I think like during Fatalities, the music should get louder and you should be able to choose the song in the background if they keep the profile stuff.

But anyway, but the theme. If Midway gets one of their own to make the music for it then it needs to be heavy and such. Not techno-y or anything. But my suggestions for Bands that should do the theme are Lamb Of God, In Flames, Slayer, Cradle Of Filth, Amon Amarth, Deicide... ya know, a good Metal band. Those are some more mainstream bands, but that's not the point. Who agree's that it should be a Metal band that does the theme?

what? thats a load of bull. mk is not pure metal. did u not see the movie? the theme was freakin techno (damn fine techno if u ask me wink). i say get a dark techno mix. 'is all...
exactly, that was the movie... Alot of music works better on movies because it's choreographed and such and so they have music that fits that one specific fight. I don't really see Techno music good fighting music. In my opinion it adds humor. But yeah... I just think Metal fits alot better than Techno. Looks at The Sims Bustin' Out... the metal music on there totally surprised me. I did not expect that at all because maxis or whoever actually made it. But yeah, whatever. The soundtrack does need SOME metal if you ask me. Atleast one metal track on it.

The music in MK:DA fuckin sucked. I hope Forden does a much better job in MK6, if he's still with Midway that is.

this post is fun. my thoughts, i would go for industrial music like fear fac, kmfdm (recommended), orgy or get a movie composer to done the game just like harry g-williams did for metal gear solid 2 & 3.

theme songs uh?.........the MK original is good enough for me and someone else said to take out the techno crap thats a good idea. Re-do the whole thing and keep corperate bands outta it cause they have nothing to do with games. Games shouldnt even have sound tracks mabey background music and a theme but thats it.

i think slipknot would be cool. the NEW slipknot CD is due out May 25th
The hell with Slipknot, I say Slayer... But anyway... I agree with the guy with the statement about Metal Gear Solid 2&3. I haven't heard much of 3's music but 2 had some nice game music... So yeah... that works.
