Different colors

In every MK game there is an alternate color for each costume for 2 player matches where both characters are using the same costume. In one of the new videos you can see Baraka's alt color for that costume. What makes me mad is that you can never chose these alt colors. Like in MKDA Shang had his blue costume but you could never see it unless both players picked Shang and that costume .

I really think they should on top of having extra costumes, make the alt colors for them selectable. Even a slight color change adds to the replay value. Especially if you have to UNLOCK it. Like in the MVC games and in MK for gameboy you have to unlock extra colors. I doubt they will do it but it would be nice.

Any thoughts?

It was exactly that, I loved Shang wearing blue, but I could never see it until someone else thought they could control the power of Tsung and use it against me. They were so very wrong wink

I absolutely agree. I've always dreamed of this happening in MK.

It should be just like KI. You should be able to choose different colours on your character. Lets say each character has 3 alternate costumes.......each costume should have atleast 6 different colours to choose from.

Imagine changing Sub-Zero's "Blue" outfit to a different shade of blue, like aqua, teal, cyan, navy, denim, ETC.

Or Barakas outlined vest to red, yellow, green, black, grey, orange, silver, and so on.

I would love it if they had this in MKD. If not, IMO its a MUST for MK7.

A color editing feature would also be cool. Like something to unlock of course. One of the Capcom vs games had that. You could go in and create your own color scheme and save it. I had a zombie Dhalsim that looked really cool. I think that would be a little harder to pull off in a 3D game but if they did it would be awesome.

I agree. Often the alt.colors are better than the defaults. Would be nice to be able to select them.

I agre that there we should be able to selec the alt colours.

Dark_No0Bs idea is perfect! The KI system was great and would be a nice additon to MK. Hopefully we'll see it happen in MKD or MK7.

Also, alt cosumes should have a range of colours. Not just the standard costumes. It'd be nice if we could customise other little features on them like hairstyles etc.

Agreed. That would be perfect to pick the alt. outfit, and maybe even colors like in KI.

In MKDA on GBA the costume were just retarded pallete swaps. Some of them looked really bad. Like changing skin color to blue and hair to white. It looked bad.

i completely agree with you. *sigh* oh, how i can recount the times i've wanted to play as Johnny Cage in his white coated tuxedo in MKDA. sad i wouldn't that say it's a must for Deception but it would certainly add to the replay value.

Er.. I though we'd pretty much established that the ability to select alternate colours is in MKD? While it might not confirm anything, we have seen loads of shots of characters using alternate colours even when they're not in mirror matches. In the latest Scorp/Sub-Zero vid, for instance, Sub-Zero is definitely not in his standard colour...

True but for all we know they could have just been testing it. We still don't know if there will be an option when the game comes out. There never has been before and they haven't mentioned it yet either.

I think the MK2 version of Kung Lao should be unlockable in it.Im like a Kung Lao master on MK but i dont think it would be a complete MK without being able to unlike other versions of that character such as Reptile's ninja or Smoke's human form.
