Im contemplating putting my ps2 online. The only reason I will put it online is to play mortal kombat Deception.
So, can you guys tell me if its worth going to the trouble up setting up a network and buying a router and ps2 adapter just for this experiance.
What i would like to know is:
Are the servers fast? Do the matches have no lag?
Is cheating out of control? ...enough to kill the fun of a competetive nature?
Thanks, any other info would be apprecited.

- A PS2 net connection is worth it... you need one, unless your boring.
Are the servers fast? Do the matches have no lag?
- There has been 2 games out of 100 that have actually lagged (slow motion fighting I guess you can say) but other than that of course its fast... its broadband only.. those people I played were probably heavily downloading porn.

I never seen cheating but on the news page IN game it says if they find someone cheating they give them: 0 wins, 1,000 loses, and 999,999 disconnects and they urge people NOT to play them.
The online game is great.... even though its fucked up for me right now...

The best thing to do is only play people with good connections! stay away and rreject people who have bad ones! A connection loss may happen anyway, but maybe one out of 50 times, from my experience.
I've made a cheaters thread on the PS2 Online Tournament board. Yes, they've cracked down on cheaters, but don't play them anyway. Some will still favor to cheat to make people angry for some sick reason.
I hypothesise that they are the kind of people who stick banannas up heir noses and shove candycanes in their asses while molesting gerbils and other innocent woodland creatures. Although this is merely a cursory psychological observation, I will do more stidies to get at the root of these people's mental malfunctions and afflictions. And if all else fails, I'll just track them down and kick em all in the throat.
