As a great and well detailed warrior such as himself i am dissappointed htat he has such a predictable fatality there is no originality in a body smash.
He has wayy to much potential as a new character to be given a silly mindless smash he has flags on his big, armour, and an ok weapon incorporate that intot he fatality sumhow....but that is just his first one there is 1 more to go lets hope for the best.....

I think it would be cool if on the 1st slam their head cracked open and started spewing blood, then when he swings again he creates the arc of blood and finally just their head splits apart and leaves it at that. Not the whole body exploding for no reason.

i give it a high rating too. the sound efects added to the plesure. ( SHANG TSUNG'S laugh) OUTSTANDING
I agree, there should be no explosion. However, I think the head cracking should be a few hits in, and that the fatality should last linger. Perhaps with the character screaming at first, but after a while, the voice diminishes into a deathly silence.

I couldn't agree more. It shows that Hotaru is a force to be reckoned with.
In early screenshots and trailers, I thought Hotaru looked like a very promising new character. After many trailers and screenshots, not to mention his exceptional groundbreaking bio video, I'm more impressed with him than I ever was before. He looks to be one of the best among the new fighters, I can't wait.
His fatality is one of the few that are over-the-top and brutal. The sound carries it further than most people give credit.

Another fatality that I enjoy, one that doesn't get the recognition I believe it deserves, Scorpion's new arm beat fatality. While I know the limb beating is becoming a new gimmick in the MK universe, I think that it suits Scorpion better than everyone thinks. Who better than a tortured soul to rip off your limbs and crush you with them?

Despite how much i liked it, IMO i didnt think it matched him. It seems like a fatality that would go more with someone like Jax or Darrius. Honestly, i was expecting Hotaru to have more of a "bloody" royal death involving his weapon.
None the less, i still liked the fatality. Brutal power.

I think it's alright. I could have thought of better. But maybe his second fatality will be bad ass and samurai style.

Not very original.could be anybody's fatality.
ALSO,when he does it on Liu Kang did anyone notice that Liu Kang is swung through the sword stuck in the ground but there is no collision detection.Boon and co need to sort out those kind of glitches.If the sword interacted with fatality that would be better (but I doubt they are up to doing it)
