Bugs. The story was likely one of the first things completed. They are going to try and avoid anything that makes the game freeze up. Maybe tweak the odd animation, and various speed aspects of the game. Things that don't require any graphical modifications, or story modifications. Aside form that, the game is most likely done.

HAHA lets not say that too loudly! We dont want to jynx it. I still think they will have to work on the secrets though, that is what was cut off last time because they didnt have time, so following the same way the went after completing MK:DA, then I think that is what they are trying to work on.

Yeah but they had a lot less to work on this time around. The engine was already done and a lot of the processes would have been familiar this time around. I'm sure we will be missing very few things that they intended to put in.

Yes I would think bug hunting will be the main focus.

If they implement anything new like new moves etc they then have to playtest it for bugs so there will be several deadlines,each department will have different deadlines.

Certain things are more likely to cause software bugs than others ,such as using a special move,anything where there is an interactive element/user input.That kind of thing will have to be finalised first.So let's hope Konquest mode has been well and truly checked for bugs!

Costume tweaks,text,colours can be done quite late.Also the FMV intro and endings are just movie files so can be worked on up til the deadline for overall final bug checking.

From the percents if it isn't out on the 5th it will be like a month late. Thats all. Nothing serious. They will make it. Atleast for the Xbox.

If a company doesn't reach a deadline, it usually means they have found some things that they really want to fix or tweak for OUR (the gamers) enjoyment. I assure you they want their money as soon as possible. So if they don't hit it on the mark, just know it was to bring you a better version of the game you so desire.

They did delay MK:DA and look how that turned out. Still fun, but definately not what it should have been. I hope Deception doesn't get delayed, but if it needs to then so be it.

Yeah, but as you know, some features were left out. Like that corridor to the right.

I'll put it like this. If the Team needs more time, then Midway should give them all the time they need.

They WILL release the game in October. Their publicity campaign for the game has begun; and it features "October" as the release date. Soon you'll see other ads that will probably even specify "October 4th" so don't worry too much about that.

well i guess it really doesnt matter what we think, we'll find out octber 4th if it's here on time won't we.

The game is more than 85% and 75% complete, dont believe everything you read in magazines. Since they are releasing it on October 4th Im sure they are finished with everything overall, Ill bet now the only thing left to do is get the game tested for bugs and touch up on things here and there.
