I have been planning on making Rain in Konquest myself.

Sindel is Queen again, And Rain's father was an Edenian General, And Rain joined Kitana. So it's very possible for Rain to return in MK:D accompanying Queen Sindel.

I think Smoke (robot version) has a higer chance of returning then Rain. But yeah I would like to see him return. If he doesn't well there is always MK7.

I think Rain will at least be seen in Konquest mode. Remmeber what Boon said. Every character in MK history will at least have a cameo in Konquest. I was never a big Rain fan until just now. The only move I liked with him was his round-house kick that woul slap you to the other side of the ring. So now I look foreward to Rain's, Smoke's return. I hope they do more with Rain. I remmeber watching an episode of the cartoon with Rain. He was Kitana's fiance. He was on Khan's side though. He wasn't wearing a mask either, so you could see his face.
