I've had this idea for a while now, but, this is my first time posting it.
This might sound crazy to ome, but, I persnally think that this would be very awesome for replay value, as simple as it is. I think that it will be a win win situation, in case you're playing around small children, or someone who does'nt like gore, and I think that it will also preserve a little mystery in the game.
Notice, I said OPTION
Let me know what you think

Games 18, small children should be present at all!
........ Options are always nice though, more options, more personalisation!

This option has been ever since MK4 I think... "Blood level", if you turn it off you couldn't do fatalities. I think its a good idea. Children could still play the game and parents wouldn't complain. And as the vast majority of this comunnity, alot of MK players are minors.... So yes, I agree

Fuck no. This is Mortal Kombat. If the kiddies can't handle blood and gore they should go play Pokemon. And honestly, I don't care. If my little cousins or my nephew, who are all under 10 years old, happen to come into the room while my buddies and I are throwing each other into meat grinders, then who cares? They have to be exposed to it sometime. Look at the ages of over half the people on this site, no less....

First off, the kids should not be playing MK. 18 and older, but id allow acceptance at 13.

I thought the ESRB rating "M" was for people 17 and up, not 18...Err, in anycase, I was exposed to Mortal Kombat at a young age (and much more violent images at a MUCH younger age), and I can honestly say I turned out only a little bit demented. Although censoring the fatalities would be marginally better than taking them out completely in no blood mode, I just don't see the need for it as long as the kids know it's not real.

So long as it remains an option, I see no problem. If you want the full glory of gore and don't mind or don't have any kids seeing it don't use it.

Well... MKDA had that option... if u changed the blood-meter to NONE u could not do the fatalitys....

The censoring's a good idea if you're a player who likes to see the blood flow, but wants to block off the Fatality. But I doubt that such a feature would ever be included, seeing as you have the choice of not doing a Fatality anyway.

True, if you don't want to see fatalities don't do them. It's that simple. I personally think there shouldn't be an option to turn them off. My 6 year old cousin ownes Mk:Da and loves it. They don't care about the gore of it. If people don't like the gore and killings then they shouldn't play the game.
