Name: Borlador
Height:7'3
Weight:280
Moves: Valhalla crush(leaps through the air and hits opponent with hammer)
shoulder ram
Judgment (Throws opponent in the air depending on what button you hit he will slam them into the ground or punch upwards sending them flying.)
Might of Thor ( grabs opponent by legs and heavily slams them into the ground)
Weapon: Mjollner ( thors hammer)
Fatality 1: hits opponent across screen then walks over to opponent and crushes midsection with hammer.
Fatality 2: Borlador calls upon valhalla whereupon spears of the dead warriors impale the opponent standing up
Story: Borlador was a master viking. While escaping from a village he ransaced his ship , Ragnarok, sailed into a portal to Outworld. Borlador and his men were captured by the Nomads working for the DK. He demanded a parlay. When he reached the DK he demanded that they be released from this hellish world. The DK told him that the only way to peace is to join him or fight his way out, through the tournament. Borlador immediatly accepted to join the tournament with a greedy smirk on his face. Will he join the path of good or evil along the way who knows? Hope you liked it tell me what ya think?

If they make one they should make him very cool or like a Viking race of people. They have to be evil and they should kidnap our women.
LOL, I can already picture a bearded man with a horned helmet, swinging his hammer whilst charging.
I don't think a Viking character would fit into MK though. and besides, what kind of fighting styles would he have?
By the way, I don't think that viking still exist today. don't forget, MK does not take place in the middle ages (Jax uses a machine gun and Cyrax is a Cyborg). A viking would be out of place.
Nevertheless, I like the idea, but perhaps for another kind of game (Golden Axe the Duel?

Well, I don't think guys that can steal souls or freeze people exist do they either

hell no, that would be the day I would never touch another MK game ever again. Sorry but that's the dumbest idea for a character.

That'd be cool as hell, but I think that him weighing 280lbs is kinda off...maybe 300something or 400, considering he's a 7 foot viking guy with a hammer. If he were 280lbs he'd be kinda skinny looking considering his height.

Yeah, I guess so. The picture in my head was a big stocky fellow, so I suppose 280lbs seems about right.

It would be awesome to see a viking character in MKD He could carry around a huge Battle Axe. He would have cool concepts and fatalities too. One could be like slicing the oponent straight in half splitting the whole body that would be wicked lol. Great Idea.

No. it just wouldn't work. MK is an asian based game, it just doesn't fit.

I agree with Zerodegreez. It would be a bad idea but as a cameo character, Karasu from "The Grid" would be cool as an Xtra character

why not it shouldnt have only asian character indeed it should have more from other parts of the world.
I think that's a dumb idea. Most of the fighters are fighters with some sort of skill and power. Vikings never had some sort of fighting style, they used only brute force, MK is about karate, ninjistu, tae kwon do,etc, etc, etc.
He just wouldn't fit, along with that werewolf idea that someone had mentioned in another thread. Fighters with style/skill need only apply to MK.

why are people so close-minded? why can't a viking be in the game? MK has a movie star, a centaur, a native american shaman, cyborgs, hell, even a motion capture character...
however, i think the character should be more mythology based. If you say 'viking' people seem to get a certain image... like bad BO, and funny horned hats... and Minnesota *shudder*
anywaze, if it was more based upon Greek/Norse mythos i think a character could be tight... anyone seen previews for God of War?

You mean vampire, and I didn't care much for MKDA. A vampire has no place in MK, MK shouldn't evolve into some kind of fighter with anything showing up in any size and form. I liked having the Sub-Bosses being monster like but not the playable fighters. Sheeva pushed it, but one was ok, then Nitara came and Reptile turned from someone who had skills into some dumb crab style fighter.
Hey, it's just my opinion but MK started out as skilled fighters even if they were unrealistic, not freakish beasts with no style.
