When he reached the DK he demanded that they be released from this hellish world. The DK told him that the only way to peace is to join him or fight his way out, through the tournament. Borlador immediatly accepted to join the tournament with a greedy smirk on his face. Will he join the path of good or evil along the way who knows? |
I really like this, but whether he fits in with the MK story is a different question.
Nonetheless a very original and exciting character. If he appeared in any other game like Sould Caliber i would really like him. Good job dude

hmmm... isn't this game called Mortal Kombat? that would include any mortal whether they are White, Black, Asian, Native American, Latin, or even albino (Quan Chi

if they can have a movie star, a shaman, a mo-cap character, a cop, ninjas out the ass, cyborgs, gangsters, countless guys with cybernetic implants, a reptile/human, a character made completely of fire, and guy who kills people with his hat, why can't there be a Greek/Norse character?
if your argument is that MK is current and vikings are dead then about all the characters would be gone in MK (ninjas haven't been around for a while, but apparently they make up 75% of the population in Outworld... so why can't vikings exist in Outworld?) nor have samurai, and according to the story both Nitara and Reptile's races existed on earth a long-azz time ago
and gameplay wise, i'd rather play with a character whose weapons range from axes, swords, spears and hammers than some1 who uses machine guns and/or bombs (not to knock characters who have those)
adding a viking might give it a broader appeal in the European market, who knows... well i just looked at the thread title a little more closely and realized it said MKD... huh... musta missed that... I'm restating my position on the "viking" character: once again, its not so much that I want a viking character, perhaps a greek/norse mythology fighter (God of War!!) and I think the character lineup is excellent how it is... no changes until the next one, so no "viking" for MKD, but still open to having one later in the series...
a lot of people are arguing: MK is fresh and current and it's Asian based... joke characters like Mokap don't count! and vikings don't fit! let me point out some things
1) MK may be an Asian influenced game, but face it most games are... and just because it originally is based around Japanese/Chinese characters and myths doesn't mean it should stay the same and never expand its universe.
2) according to the story, some evil superpowerful tyrant from another world is always trying to take over the Earthrealm. Earth... as in the whole thing. Not just the continent of Asia and a couple of American states. That's right, even France with its translation quirks.
3) Existing characters and story-elements in the series have been breaking the Asia-only rule pretty much since MK1... Motaro (centaurs would be more Greek mythology) Kano (although he was raised in Japan he's from the land down under... no, not the Netherrealm) Nightwolf (a Native American shaman... he practices magic, meaning his gods and myths co-exist with MKs kinda Chinese elemental Gods) Stryker (sigh) Bo Rai Cho (is a wink at borracho which means drunkard en Espanol) and in DA, there are pyramids complete with the mummified army... to my knowledge there are no pyramids in asia, meaning this took place in Africa
