I think that's pretty much it.

People have said that they got some of what they wanted in MK:DA, and that it was due to boon reading the forums, but really i don't think it makes much of a differance.
Boon is a member of the site, and sometimes you can catch him online if you're lucky, but i seriously doubt that he reads these petitions/bitching-about-what-characters-NEED-to-return threads ect.

This forum isn't useful for what you've mentioned, it's useful for what forums have always been useful for, voicing your opinions on certain subjects eg. Rain being in Deception. Forums aren't designed to send what's written in then off to whoever, they're just there for normal people all over the world to voice people's ideas.

I don't think Rain will make it in MK:D because there allready is heaps on ninja's in it.

Also it's too late to change this game by are opinions they get opinions when there starting a new game.

No, one of the reasons I don't come here often lately is the fact that I find many discussions here utterly pointless.

Every now and then, someone pops up with a good idea or a bit of news, which is a good thing, but mostly this part of MKO is full of moronic fanboy-blabbering.

For the things u mentioned- no. back in the days before DA people were wondering CONSTANTLY about multiple fatalities and Boon never said a word. they HAD to have known people were wondering but they said NOTHIN till fight night and everyone was disappointed i was frankly pissed off ebcause it only takes a second to type a post. i lost a lot of respect for Boon because he never went out and openly stated that there was only 1 fatal for character and no stage fatalities. and i also remember that certain amagzien ads for DA showed rippable clothes, whatever ahppend to that? another thing they never mentioend not being in the game

I wonder if Midway people actually come here and check what we have to say every once in a while. I remember after MK:D, peopel said it would be cool to see Samurais in MK and now we got Hotaru and maybe Dairu.

You have to remember MK is Boon's game.It's not the members here that make the game.We voice our opinions and Boon probably thinks about it.Most of the major stuff that fans wanted is already in the game:

Counters
the gameplay is faster now.
EVERY CHARCTER THAT HAS EVER APPEARED IN MK WILL BE IN KONQUEST.

So, really, if you think about it, this THREAD is useless, and Rain has been comfirmed to be in Deception, but noit been comfirmed as a playable character!

They probably read some and after all they get alot of e mails, so wat i think they do is listen to wat people say, but not respond and surprise them...for example, i remember a lot of people e mailing midway to bring back Mileena and there were a lot of topics about it, and look, shes back! So i think they read some e mails and topics and stuff, but dont respond and talk about it

but to answer the question, yes I think the forum is useful. Not because of petitions or any of that crap, and not even for updates/news (almost any news and/or new media can be found in the News section of this site or on another site)... i think it's useful for people to state their opinions (which sometimes do make a difference) and also for something to do while waiting for a game to be released.

No they don't care for the whining, complaining, bragging at all and if that were the case every fighter would be in it which would be dumb. They probably laugh at all of the petitions anyways, what is this MK Trilogy 2 spec edition?

Well said bro, although he can't possible listen and agree to everything. This forum is only as useful as we make it. Some of our opinions and wants have been answered, listened to and added to MKD.

At the end of it all, despite our own views and opinions, it is Boon who decides what goes in the game, not us. It's more a case of what he wants to do and can actually do as well as what the fans want.
