does anybody else think this should change?
has any of you cared that when your fighting someone on the first round and they die in a death trap they come right back for a second round? I find it rather annoting. I know i could just switch it to 1 round per fight but i like to have 2 rounds. I just think that if you or your opponent die from a death trap on the first round then that match should be over. otherwise the death traps are completely wrong. doesn't anybody else care? I hate to see someone fall off that damn pit and then pop right back up for another round it just isn't right.

Yea, I did see that it doesn't make sense. After all, how can you fight when 3 seconds ago you were torn into tiny pieces or whatever. I think maybe that the video's that we saw were just demonstration videos, and deathtraps will really mean the end of the match, or only be able to be done in the second/final round. I guess we will find out soon.
If your dead, you can't fight.

I completly friggin agree man. I thought that was ridiculous the 1st time I saw it.
Round 1, Sub-Zero kills Ermac, Round 2, Ermac kills Sub-Zero, and then Round 3, they're both up and kickin'. Just seems kinda ridiculous.
I know we'll have the option to turn them off, but I also hope we have the option to turn off in the 1st round only, or have the fight end after someone gets death-trapped.

I think I remember Boon saying that there's an option to turn them off. If you can turn them off for the first round (i'd get annoyed too) then I'll probably set it so it only works the 2nd and 3rd rounds. By the way, nice sig. How'd you make it? I know there's this South Park site that lets you create your own characters but they don't have anything involving MK, so I'm guessing you probably made it yourself. You should try and make it with the MK:D characters or with MK2 characters

This is a old question and here is an old answer. You can turn off the deathtraps. Also, don't think that it is gonna be easy to deathtrap someone or visa versa. If there is skill involved,it will be alot harder than you think.

Stop complaining. You can turn them off. I think theres nuthing wrong with it. I think the ideas everyone else is making is stupid.

Deathtraps are beautified ring outs. In other fighters with RO, the character falls and comes back in Round 2. Just because you see what happens to the falling character in MKD doesn't mean that the match should end.

Okay... lots of stuff to reply to, 1st...
"I think the ideas everyone else is making is stupid."
Okay then, let me see if I can give you a rebuttle in your native tongue; "You is am the stupid one's ideas. I r teh smart. That's how I cames to see out when I was a baby."
2nd...
I know it's been stated that they -can- be turned off, but what we don't know is -when- they can be turned off. I fully plan on keeping them on, but if I can turn them off 1st round I'm gonna, cause I want it to be more realistic. And if some of us don't like the idea of having them on both rounds, it's our right, and you have no right to bitch at us about it.

Now to be a bit more lengthy, regarding my sig, yes I know about that site, and no I didn't use it. I use CorelDraw, the same program they use (last I checked) to make the actual drawings for the Southpark show. It costs several hundreds of dollars, so don't plan on buying it or anything, but my mom got it free from her work, for workings, so go me. : D
And no, it doesn't have pre-programmed South Park pieces that you just put together to make people. It's just a piece of drawing software. I drew them all from scratch, starting as circles and lines. (And if you think what I'm pointing out here is obvious, you'd be surprised how often I get asked this.)
Over the years, I've made tons of the little guys. Transformers, Mega Man Robots, Mortal Kombat, X-Men, The Spice Girls... tons.
However, most of them were saved on my now broken computer, which I haven't gotten working and may not get working for quite a while yet.
But (good news for you) Most of my MK ones except for maybe three are on this computer. Trilogy Mileena, Sheeva and Cartman Goro are trapped on the other comp, but I do have thin Goro. I have made characters from several MK games, not everyone, but I make new ones every few days. I hope to make them all eventually.
Those 7 are just the ones I chose to put in my sig. I actually have much more detailed versions of Sub-Zero and Scorpion to reflect their later costumes, but those are my stupidly simple MK1 ones, because they were stupidly simple in MK1.
I haven't done any Deadly Alliance ones yet, because they have very detailed costumes. More detail then I want to get into right now, but I plan to eventually. In any event, I'll list what I have done right now. It's mostly just the ninjas, since they're easy to make. (You do one, and you do'em all. Pallette swapping works here too.)
PS. If I say MK3 or MK4 for characters not in MK3 or MK4, I'm referring to their Trilogy and Gold outfits

And that'd be it. I basically tried to do as many Ninjas as I could easily do, then started the MK1 cast, and moved on to MK2, and so on. Kitana was the last one I did, to give you an idea where I'm at now. So soon I should be getting to folks like Mileena, Jade, Baraka, Kung Lao, & Jax. Then Kintaro & Shao Kahn. And so on after that. I know it seems weird to do them in order, but it's easier to think that way.
Anyway, I babble. Thanks for the interest though. Thats why I put them in my sig, I hoped they'd get noticed. You've made my day. ; )

I'm not sure he did contradict himself! he's seen videos where round one a player gets torn to pieces and then round 2 they get back up! I have a feeling that it's just an option that they turned on to show as many deathtraps as possible in a single video though to be honest! it should be a final round only thing really. Shouldn't it?
if not doesn't bother me, though it'd be nice if it counted as a ring out and they somehow managed to escape the trap rather than get mangled and reform.
