I think it is ok as a good time killer but im really only doing it to unlock the good items. I find it is quite bland and mind-numbing, they could have made this game mode much better.

I don't like it one bit. The missions don't make alot of sense. I mean, why would Shujinko help Tanya kill Liu Kang?! Maybe I missed something but that doesn't make any sense to me.
The fights need a little more variety too. It gets annoying always bleeding to death, or whatever few other things there are.
They should have done it like Soul Calibur II's Weapon Master. They could save time by not making all of the realms and focus more on the fighting (although I'm pretty certain they wouldn't make it much better)

Compared to MK: DA konquest which had more story too all 24 characters no. I just had a better time with MK: DA's konquest. MK: DA explained each character's story and the events that lead up to the game. Deception's konquest is too off the wall and doesn't go anywhere in terms of backstory and characters. Deception's Konquest focused too much on Shujinko..1 of the reasons that I love MK is because of its deep story. Deception's Konquest didn't really to me tell me any thing new about characters. MK: DA's Konquest did. I hope MK7 konquest is like MK: DA's where stories of each character is layed out in pages of text.
I wished Konquest was more accurate in terms of the story. Kenshi was not anywhere near Shang Tsung's island in the first Mortal Kombat but in Konquest he was?
I wished you had more missions to go on and more spaces to travel too. I wished the fighting would be a bit more fun.
I also wished the graphics and controls were better
Other than that Konquest was alright...

How many hours did it take you all to complete konquest and unlock most things?
No I dont like konquest I also prefer DA's Konquest where it told story of all the fighting styles and characters that was much more insightful. By the way Tanya asking for a cave to trap Lui Kang in is not a bad thing so dont diss Tanya shes great!!!

No, I wasn't "dissing" Tanya. I just said that Shujinko helping someone who was trying to hurt Liu Kang doesn't make any sense. Unless Shujinko is a jerk.....Well, he is but that still doesn't make sense.

I thought Konquest was supposed to be a sort of "training" mode, like in MK: DA, not a crappy RPG...
No, I didn't like it at all. I played like 10 minutes on my own.. and then seeing how boring it was, I printed a walktrough on the Internet to unlock everything as fast as possible.
What's sad is that they probably put a lot of effort and time in this mode instead of focusing on the main fighting mode.
And if only konquest was just boring, I would not complain. But for me it was a real hassle to run in this huge mess doing tons of non sense missions. Who thinks it was interesting to find flour in a tiny house, bring it to a nobody and get 200 ruby coins as your reward? Oh wow, the spirit of Mortal Kombat.

First MK is a fighting game not an adventure. So i think they make Konquest really good to a first try. Works too well for me.
Konquest try to show to us the vision of Shujinko about MK World, not the true. It is really interesting.
I really hope that Midway use this experience to a Mortal Kombat RPG with all characters, new characters and new visions about the fabulous history of MK.

I seem to be the only person who liked Konquest. Sure I bought it for the fighting, but Konquest was kinda fun. I just think that they should do away with the keys, that way people who don't like it don't have to play it to get the characters they like.

Did I ever hate that thing. It pissed me off I had to spend all that time running around playing konquest just to get what would have been avalible at the start of any other game. Most other games with 24 characters would have given you 18-20 to start with and only 4-6 to unlock.
I would have much rather spent that time playing Mortal Kombat the game I bought and not some wannabe whatever it was. If they wanted to make another type of game they should have just made another game. Not slap a half assed game within another one that is nothing like the game people are paying for and then force them to play it just to get to the game they paid for.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I love it, but it did make me laugh. It reminded me of a classic B kung fu flick poorly dubbed. The other hilarious part of konquest was Shujinko. I mean come on this guy is so dumb he makes Conan seem like Einstein. It just cracked me up watching him say and do such dumb things over and over from realm to realm.
But I had no problems with Konquest, what a decent time waster.

Story wise i loved MKDA's more. but for playable reasons MKD is MUCH Better. if i had to choose i guess i'd go with MKD only cuase i enjoyed it more. it may sound lasy but if the narrarator had read the captions in MKDA i think i would have liked it more. MKD may have some screwed up events all out of order chronologicaly but at the same time............u can punch mokap while he's doing his happy walk. plus u get a video for doing it.

Well,
A) Helping Tanya is optional. You can also go to Liu Kang in that realm, and warn him that Tanya is trying to trap him. He will reward you for helping to save his life. In fact, you can say that this is the MK team's explanation for why Tanya's MK4 ending never happened. Quite brilliant, actually!
B) Shujinko spent enough time in the Netherealm to make his soul tainted with evil.... Don't be surprised if he does sell out Earth's champion for a few koins. (But remember, he didn't).
So in the end, yeah, I think Konquest is very fun and I love the side missions, I also love the challenges like beat someone during Dark Kombat (haven't seen that since the MK3 days), beat someone who's healing, try and win while you're bleeding, beat someone using only throws, etc. These challenges were very fun and I suspect they'll think of even more for future MK games!

Konquest mode was fine. It get pretty damn boring but the thing I loved most about it was wandering aimlessly for a while and then coming on a bunch of great things, like arenas or characters. Though I would've much preferred personal training rather than having to find characters in konquest...its annoying if you want to train a character and you have to hump your way across the realms to find the character.
If they do anohter mode like this in the next MK, it should focus more on fighting (without the utterly ridiculous requirements) and have a little bit of running around, but not as much running around as in MKD's konquest.
But overall I liked it.

MKDA konquest itself thow was a bit boring. sure, it was a good story for each karakter, but it was just training and mastering moves and combos put into a story. i dont hav MKD yet cus i liv in UK, but the konquest in that sounds beter because it is like a RPG by the looks of things, but from wat sum people hav sed, aint that great, but i myself cant fuly decide until ive got it i spose

It was kinda fighting other Kombatants in Konquest who weren't in MKD. But like I didn't like the fact that you couldn't get some of the things you missed. And, that you couldn't go back into the village...

I'm quite serious. Have Shujinko talk to Tanya, and instead of finding the cave for her, go to find Liu Kang and warn him. He'll reward you, and Tanya will be gone.
You do know that this whole mission was a play on Tanya's MK4 ending, right? I think it's actually quite ingenious to imply that Tanya's ending in MK4 never happened because Shujinko was able to warn Liu Kang about the trap before he going into that cave.

What is there to kid about? You didn't like those challenges? Did you think they were too hard, or too easy? Or not original enough? I would have liked to have seen the "Trial of Blood" brought back, or maybe even a new "Test Your" mini-game, but I still loved the challenges introduced in MKD's Konquest mode. My only real gripe is that the "Use only throws" challenges are pretty glitchy, you can sometimes mix in a couple other attacks besides throws and they do damage to the opponent. That and the fact that some character's appearances don't make sense (eg, you shouldn't be allowed to run into Kabal or Jarek until you become old Shujinko) or some quotes (like the woman who complains that Kano has made Outworld his home shouldn't be saying that until after Konquest mode reaches MK3's point in time). These are mintor details, though, and overall I find Konquest Mode to be very fun. Once you've unlocked all the characters/outfits/etc. it gives you a reason to play again, to do all the little side-missions that you may have missed like in the village, etc.

I think Konquest mode is cool. The mini-fights expands the depth a little more and offers different types of challenges that you wouldn't find in regular versus or arcade modes.
It is a little frustrating trying to find items that the different people are looking for, but it's fun looking for them anyways.
But my FAVORITE thing about Konquest is Shujino encountering all of the different characters in the Mortal Kombat universe and talking with them and such. It made the whole adventure seem like a real conquest--a real mission.
One thing I'd like to see in future conquests is finding different types of items or enountering unique characters that give you special hidden powers that you can use in your fights. Like if you find a magic book of spells or something, it vauses your projecile attacks to do double damage and be unblockable or something. Or if you find a cursed sword, it makes you begin with like 10% less health in your next 10 battles or something.
But overall, Konquest is cool and I think it's WAY better than the Konquest mode in DA.

I loved Konquest, I thought it was extremly fun to actually get to explore large maps!
I loved looking for characters, even though finding them didn't do much, I loooooooved looking for them. I also loved the missions, I loved training, and I loved killing the characters I hated.
I just rather would play with someone other that Shujy.

I was aware that the Tanya mission was based on her MK4 ending, I was just questioning the "brilliance" comment.
My problem with konquest's gimmick matches is that they offer nothing so as to make you better, or improve your knowledge of the game engine. They're just there to waste your time with inane stipulations that more often than not, give the player no reward.
But if Konquest is your thing, enjoy.

I thought it was okay, even liked it. I am not a hardcore RPG fan, so I liked it.
It kinda tells you the Mortal Kombat Story...
One MAJOR thing I didnt like....
Training Missons.. got too repetative... caused boredom.
