I agree.
I have said it many times, and I will say it again. I would love to see Sonya in this game, but if she didn’t make the cut, I don’t care.
She has been in every MK game since the start, one way or another, and I think other characters disserved the chance to return, some of those, being personal faves of mine: Sindel, Mileena, Jade, Tanya, Nightwolf, Kabal, etc.
So, I like to think her spot was taken by any of those.

I think this game has the best cast of any MK game. I loved Deadly Alliance, but after playing Deception, I realized how much I disliked some of DA's characters. There isn't a single character in this game that I feel should be left out.
It was also cool to run into some of my old favs in Konquest mode like Rain and Reiko.

I wish they bring back stryker back i dont know why so many people hated him maybe because he wasnt a ninja.Stryker is so underated its sad the older fans appreciate him like myself he was a good character with good moves good fatalities and a decent story they really need to bring him back imo.

i agree, we always find something to complain about. and we always want more from this game. im glad all those people arnt in we already used them in DA im sure they didnt change much from DA. but i think they could have did a better job with Kabal maybe its just me but he sucks a lot.

Thats a nice thought to think Sonya was bumped for Mileena. But what if she was REALLY bumped for Kobra? I've already said how much I hate the new guys. I like all the return characters. It's just the new guys I think suck.
It would be nice to get a MK groupie game. No story just Lots of people all tossed together for fun and mayham. Get to get a few faves in 3D. Of course then there's a style problem. They would probably have to start reusing styles more. Nice fantasy anyway

I'm SURE they could have fit more characters. MKT2 could be done on PS2 and Xbox, just leave out the other mammoths like Konquest mode or Chess or Puzzle Kombat. I mean look at Deception, they had the fighting game, then Konquest which is enormous, chess kombat, puzzle kombat, the krypt, endings intros etc, and they even have a demo for Area 51, if they concentrated on making MKT2 just the fighting engine they could easily fit all the characters, and they'd probably have room left for some kind of extras, at least test your might or something. Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about

She could had very well been replaced by Kira (I dislike her for obvious reasons), but I like to think that either way, with Sonya out for this game, they gave Sindel and the others the chance they disserved.

are u kidding me???....take out konquest for sonya and jax......wtf.....konquests one of the best things in deception.....and leave chess....its not bad....but they coulda takesn out puzzle for quan chi, shang, and maybe rain

I don't really care if a character skips a game... as long as they are not gone for good... I'm fine

I just wish you could play as the characters you had to fight.
You fought that monster, quan chi, shang tsung, jax, and a few others that weren't playable. They already have the character models and them in action, along with voices and stuff. I don't see why they couldn't just shove them in there, even if it is just with one style.

Maybe we can't have another MKT?

I know NOTHING about what it takes to make a game...and how much work gets put into making one character...
but let's face it guys...how many characters have existed in the mortal kombat saga? 50? that's 150 fighting styles, 100 fatalities, 50 winning poses...50 endings...200 soundbytes (atleast)....
again, I don't know how much that stuff plays into it...but i think it'd be ALOT of work, making an MKT type game...with this fighting engine.
I think their way of giving a nod to the fans, and trying to make everyone happy was by making sure every MK character ever, appeared in Konquest...
we just have to deal with some facts with new MK games...sometimes, our personal favorites, will be left out...but, fans will voice their opinions over the course of time...and boon will bring back your favorite character...I love Shang...but as of right now...I'm not 100% sure he'll be playable in kombat mode...i still think it's an awesome game...but the character layout can't really destroy the game for some, purely because...there will ALWAYS be solid and weak characters to a game...everyone will have their own different opinions on characters...I don't think much of Li Mei...but they brought her back...i'm always going to think they could have used Rain, or Shang, or Sonya in her place...but i'm not going to huff and puff about it, because i realize ed boon wasn't saying to himself "Gee, what characters would ShangTsungNiceGuy want in this game?".
Just have to find some other characters that I love to fight with...I've taken to Noob-Smoke

i dont really like alot of the new characters personality wise, but i play as them and i wouldnt mind if they were removed or if they returned the next game. the only person who i dont play as and i personally cant stand is bo rai cho. he should have been removed permanatly and replaced with kung lao ( i cant imagine why boon decided to take out this great character and keep a fat farting drunk. he must have done it because he wanted comic relief, but they took out friendships and babalities because they didnt want comic relief. i say bring back the friendships if you want comic relief because at least some of those are funny, bo rai cho isnt.)

I would have to agree with you about Bo Rai Cho. He's a worthless drunk bastard. What a disappointment. They shoulda taken Bo Rai Cho out and put in Cyrax or Sektor.

Though I really must say Rain hasn't really played much of a storyline role in any games seeing as how trilogy didn't have much of a story different from MK3 so. I wish he'd come back. It was nice to see Baraka back. And I'm lovin' seeing Sub-Zero not miss a MK but he's getting pretty old and I'm afraid he may not be long for the MK world.

It is more than likely that you will see every decent MK character back, in an MK game at some point.
Some exceptions maybe Stryker,Goro,etc...
some won't or SHOULDN'T come back, because there was nothing left for them to do storyline-wise, no hope for them storyline-wise, or just a crummy character all together.
Guys like Blaze and Rain have POTENTIALLY good storylines...it just depends on how you cut it...
but I think they've done a very solid job with the endings thus far.
I think the change they've made to Raidens character is excellent.

Why I think he was pretty kool. I think they should focus on bring back the VERY popular left out chars, but I would still love to see stryk.

The thing I like the least about the Deception characters is the rise of the new black dragon. I thought Mavado must've killed off Kabal to get those hook swords, then hopefully Kano and his clan would go die off. Oh, but nooooo Darth Kabal was saved, and he added some new characters to the black dragon, but what about Kano? And Kabal kills possibly the coolest character in DA? :(
Kira's ending is pretty lame too, killing off Kobra and all. Red Dragon should've been the new power!

Rain would be good somewhere in the future because they are gonna want another edenian(got bad memory but im pretty sure he is the edenian, correct me if im wrong) in the future and since rain hasnt been used in the story line hardly at all, and so many people like him, he is bound to be brought back.

Everybody is going to think differently. People will always have their favorites so unless they come out with a game where all of the players are on there, you can't expect everyone to be 100% happy. My favorite character is Kitana and she's not on MKD, but I still think the game is off da hook!! It would be nice to have her though.

To me this game is horrific.I like DA alot better.Chess an the the Dragon King is about the only new good thing in it an I like some of the old arenas they brung back thats about all.I am very disappointed.I guess I was expecting way to much.Long Live Johnny Cage.
