Does anyone hope that the Supreme Demonstration is in Deception?

I always liked the Supreme Demonstration. Always gory, always fun to watch if you're bored. I think that they should bring it back to Deception, but they should revamp it. Like: Every time you pull off a new fatality, you "unlock" the fatality, and it appears in a new section in the special features section: Supreme Demonstration.

You can choose to simply choose which ones you wish to view, or you can toggle "Play All" and it will show all the one's that you have unlocked. Also, just for kicks, you can choose a certain character for the fatalties to be performed on.

Example: I choose "Play All", and, before it starts, it asks which character I want the fatalities performed on. I would choose ________,
and the Supreme Demonstration would start.

Thoughts?

I liked the sound of it. Don't know if they'd include it though.

It would be very cool if they did.

o come on, what's so hard about pressing a 4 button comination? it would jus ruin the feeling of success when u do them in a fight, since u'll know that u can just go to the main menu and press X instead.

No, I mean, you have to perform the fatalities first. You can't just go to the select screen and they'll just be there.

I think it's a sweet idea. Having to unlock the Fatalities for it by performing them is a great idea too! There should be a counter to let you know how many your missing too! I think it's an excellent idea and would love to see it!

Thanks, they could also include Hari-Kiri's in it. And maybe if you unlock all the fatalities, and Hari-Kiri's, you unlock a sort of instant replay version of it where you can watch the fatality in slow motion, adjust the camera angle, etc.

This is a great idea..and like you said, haveing to perform the fatalities before they are available ... takes nothing away from the satisfaction of perform a fatality correctly for the first time.

I hope they do something like this.

If something like this was in the game, I'd pray for Stryker, Shinnok and Johnny Cage to be included. wink Just so I could play all 48+ Fatalities on them. grin

as cool as it sounds it will not happpen, this is way

the fatality demo in MK triolgy when you bet the little mini tornament was put there cause the fatalies in the old mk was a bitch to pull off, ex. hold lp(hk,hk,hpupleft hqf) stand a half sweep distance., all that in like 5 sec max

it as an easy way to see the fatality you would never be able to pull off with ease, so they reward you with it.

since MK DA, fatality are very easy to pull, really takes no effort to do.

its easy to fight a match and do the fatality then see a video.

to me at least

You might have a point there, but just because they aren't hard to pull off anymore doesn't mean that it shouldn't be in there. We haven't even found out how difficult the fatalities are to pull off in Deception yet, so how can you say that they are easy to pull off already?

Hell yes dude! That would be like, beyond awesome. The supreme demonstration is the only reason why I even play MK: 3, UMK3, & MK: Trilogy. But that would sort of take away the feeling of success after pulling off a fatality. But a fatality video unlocked after pulling it off would be better so it wouldn't take away the suspense of not knowing what ones fatality looks like...

Thanks. It works because it lets you view the fatalities any time you want (given that you unlock them first), but still preserves the shock factor of fatalities, which I prefer calling the "HOLY SHIT, DID HE/SHE JUST DO THAT?!" factor.

Plus the satisfaction of seeing them pulled on someone useless and boring (cough...Stryker...cough)

Maybe Stage Fatalities can be included also.

I'd like to see a video section added that could contain Fatalities, character videos, interviews, remakes of previous fights (like Classic Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion from MK1) and maybe a feature that lets you watch two playable characters fight against each other.

Now there's an idea. Classic Match-Ups. Sorta like that thing in NCAA Football where you try to remake history and have the team who lost, win. Except MK, like Scorpian vs. Sub-Zero, or Mileena vs. Kitana. But I don't think there's enough disk space to include all the characters and rivalries. So scratch that. If anyone can figure out a way to make it work, PM me.

Maybe it's just me but I thought the fatalities were always easy. Hell back in the old days I had them all memorized by heart.

I think it's a good idea. Once you perform them they are added to the list. Also to that other person who said something about watching them. People don't perfrom them just to watch them, they perform them to kill their opponent.

Watching them in the supreme demostration would not cause any to not want to kill their opponent.

They should just let you replay your matches, just like in a sports game. That would rock for online matches against your friends.

Back in the old days. Heh. I still have every single finisher from MK1 and MKII memorized (Fatality, Babality, Friendship, Pit). Some of the MK3/UMK3 ones don't come to mind as readily anymore. And I'll be damned if I can do any of the MK4 ones without looking them up. I guess it all comes down to how often you played them. I played MKII a LOT. wink

But however they did it, some sort of Fatality theatre would be excellent.
