Johnny Cage: Venice, Calif.

Sonya Blade: Austin, Texas

Kano: (Unspecified) Austrailia

Liu Kang: Honan province (exact location unspecified), China

MKI Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero: Japan

Cyrax: Most probably American (The Lin Kuei operate internationally, as we saw in the MKII comic with Sub-Zero getting off a jet plane)

That's all I can think of for now.

Thats a cool idea, actually I think it would be neater if he was European, there is quite a bit of crime in Europe. German sounds neat. Or Turkish, imagine if he was from Istanbul lol.

Anyway, about Sonya talking in a southern accent, please do not be stereotypical of people ok. I am from Texas and I do not speak in a Southern accent or that idiotic way slurring words and using double negatives.

Nah, I think the southern accent is cute on the ladies down there. Besides, everything being the same is boring. If you sound like a cowboy, good for you. Cowboys are bad @ss. I sound like I should be guest staring on the Sopranos, along with 80% of the other people in NYC/LI/NJ. Whatever, who cares, it's all good... especially veriety. smile

Kano is an American who was orphaned, and thus spent most of his life growing up in Japan.

Kung Lao is from China. It's never stated, but we can asume, that since Liu Kang and Kung Lao are both decendants of the Great Kung Lao, that neither man's family ever left China.

Sub-Zero's both live in China, but their nationality is unknown. Some people say they're American born, and they were brought to China by their father to become Lin Keui when they were young. This would explain the fact that they are both caucasian.

Scorpion was from Japan (as Hanzo Hasashi). I forget what part, probably Osaka or something like that.

Stryker is from a Big Metropolitan city in The USA; probably Chicago, New York or Los Angeles.

Nightwolf is a Native American, and is thus, from either The US or Canada.

Cyrax is black; since the Lin Kuei seem to gather young men from all over the world to train, Cyrax could either be an African-American by origin, or be actually from Africa (and thus an African-Chinese.) Either way, Cyrax is not Chinese.

Kai is from America.

Jarek could be from anywhere, the black Dragon being an international organization.

Kenshi is said to be a part of a line of kings that's half European, and half Asian. I suspect he was actually born in America though.

Mavado's origins are unknown, although his name comes from the word Spanish word Malvado or "Evil man"; he could very well be from Spain, but I'm not sure.

Hsu Hao is from Mongolia.

Mokap is from America.

True that the Lin Kuei operate out of China, not Japan. My bad.

But Kano is Austrailian, at least these days. I rememeber his MKI bio, but the MK staff liked his characterization in the MK movie so much, that they officially nulled his old nationality.

It's a good idea. I'd like to see it implemented into MK:De.
What's this about Kano being Australian, at least these days? Whats that supposed to mean. I hope your not bad mouthing us Aussies!

Actually, malvado is a PORTUGESE word, and concluding that, its most likely that Mavado is Brazilian, as he is very dark, and a lot of Brazilians are Mulatto's so it makes sense.

I personally think that Kabal should be an Italian Red Dragon member that thrives in the streets and backalleys of either Rome,Florence,or Venice.

I dont really see Kabal as an American, especially as a Texan(no offense)but he just doesn't look or feel the part. The only main Americans in MK are Sonya,Jax,and JC.
