Does anyone think this is a Good while it lasted game???

Chess Kombat is not the greatest and Puzzle Kombat is really long but isn't so bad but should have more like things to destroy bricks. And the only thing to keep you pre occupied is going online or versing a friend.
Doing all the death traps and unlocking all the stages along with doing everyones fatality is pretty easy.
But overall the game is great I love it it just doesn't last that long well for me kinda since you can always play against a friend.
So what is your answer to my question???

Most fighting games that I have experienced don't last that long.
If you want a fighting game with unlockables to last long, don't look up the unlockables, then you can make the game last forever. heheh.
There might be super unlockables, you can always try and figure out those if youre bored. Personally, I got what I expected from this game, a kick ass fighting game with enough gore to keep me satisfied and enough of a retro mortal kombat feel to last me until the next MK comes out (the fighter anyway.)
I don't understand the gripes with the game, its a good fighter, it has some problems... probably wasn't worth exactly $50, but I got what I wanted, MK:DA+

MK4 is still my favorite fighting game. that one had a lot of air combat and characters moved a lot faster. in this one u do a combo, the guy blocks and then hits back. u have a sweep every once in a while.
desapointed. thought this one will be miuch better than MK:DA. i'm just glad that moloch is gone. besides that, no major improvement. it's going to be fun for just one more week. after that i'll go back to soul calibur 2.
i really hope there;s some super unlockables, and they better be good. ex: onaga, sektor, fujin ( not just mods from mk:da with a new fighting style and that's it)
i really don;t know what to espect of mk7: shaolin monks except midway using the same materials as in mk:da and mk:d

For people who say that 'PFFFT, THIS GAME SUCKS, I UNLOCKED EVERYTYHING AND NOW I'M BORED' need to look at the larger picture in mind. It's a fighting game. The main purpose in it is to fight, and Deception handles this well. With all the Death Traps, throws, Fatals, Hara Kiri's, and (the biggest one of them all) online play, there's alot to play around with. The online play itself sends the replay value through the roof. When I can, I hook up online for hours at a time. It's cool to play with people who really know what they are doing, and then in turn it''s fun to destroy noobs who think they are the shit. The unlockables in the game are extras stuff to do along with the fighting. If people bought Deception just to unlock things, then you wasted 50 bucks. But as for me, I bought it so that I could take it online and play the hell out of it. I think that it was 50 dollars well spent.

chess kombat is fantastic; i love it. it is fun to teleport a piece onto your bomb square, watch your friend resurrect that same piece, then you exchange that piece back onto the bomb square. oh the humor of it all. puzzle mode is quite fun, as well. though konquest will not last long, it is certainly the best training mode of any fighter to day. and despite what the lack-of-talent reviewers say there are some hefty combos waiting to be put to gether in this game. i can pull of 12 hitters with sindel with ease. if people think the only combos the game has are in the moves list you are sorely mistaken. playing online will not get old for a long, long time. so no i do not think this game is a short-lived fighter.

I think the problem that most people have is that they "eat" everything extremely fast, I mean, the game came out a week ago and 2 days ago everybody was like "I've finished konquest" or "I've bought every koffin", they rush everything, and that makes them no to enjoy the things, slow down a bit, enjoy the things, for example, I only finished DA this summer and I enjoyed it, you guys on the other hand finished playing DA a year ago perhaps...
I'll probably buy online for my ps2, I have to play with someone that actually knows out to play...I'm tired of beating my cousin everytime...

I believe that MKDA, and MKD will both be games that were good while they lasted. Or in other words, one hit wanders. The storylines are way off from the originals, and the gameplay realy sucks in both. MK1-MK Gold will all be games that many MK fans will want to play more often because they were so cool at their time. Since we've seen technology like this before in other games, nothing seems to woo the fans over. In MK1-UMK3 you had something that was never done with live actors, and that is why those games will remain true to the series, and fans will love them more.
Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. I'll be playing this one a long time down the road, especially online. It's not just block, attack, block again. There are many different properties and movements that now need to be taken into consideration. You really have to know the character you pick, and what moves get through what defenses. I like it a lot better than DA, or other fighting games for that matter.
Playing online is a blast. With all these people saying "I've found everything and now I am bored" I think you need to stick with RPGs or something, where it does take a while to find EVERYTHING. Sometimes, with all the connections and free info out there, I think the internet can be a curse.
