Umm...that makes no sense. First of all, we barely have 10 characters confirmed. Second, no one ever said Drahmin isn't in...we don't even know if Quan Chi or Shang Tsung is in it yet. Third, how in the HELL could this be a good game with no returning characters? How would it even fit in to the current storyline of MK? Do you even know how much time they would have to put in to making the backstories of an entire cast of new characters alone? Sorry, but an entire cast of new characters is a just plain horrible idea.

Of course you need new characters...I hope there's at least 7-10 new ones, but this guy is saying he wants no returning characters, he just wants a game full of new characters...which in my opinion, would be awful.

For every new installment of MK, you need new blood. New ideas, new characters, new fatalaties. Something always has to be new. New characters are a must for any fighting game sequel. As long as they're put together and thought out well, It's always a bonus. Bringing back the old characters Like Ermac and Nightwolf and Noob is a good thing as well. In a way, they'll be new characters. New moves, new fighting styles and weapons.

the game needs new chars. a lot of them.

I would like 7 new characters. Ashrah & Hotaru, A new Shokan, Two more new characters and two secret characters.

i think there are already many MK characters. I personally dont think they should bring any new ones just yet. I would prefer to see some original characters to come back. I wouldnt mind seeing a couple of new ones. Maybe 2-4.

New characters are nice but many of the old ones like Noob Saibot, Mileen and the others will seem like new characters.

So really I would like to all the old characters return and just keep the new ones from DA. Eccept for Drahmin and Bo Rai Cho.

I think there needs to be new characters, but not necessarily as many as in past games. For example maybe an old-to-new ratio of 2:1; in other words, one new character for every two old characters. In most MK games usually half the cast or a little less is new.

Some of the new characters were useless like Nitara.

From what we know about Deception so far it seems to focus on bringing back the old MK characters instead of creating whole new ones. Which is good because we dont have the full storie on most of them.

i think that we always need new characters, but I think it depends on the overall storyline how many. I think the Dragon Kings story is goin to involve more present and old characters than new ones, so i only expect about 6/7 at most, and about 15 returners at least.

You can't play without new characters. Someone should die. Someone like, Mavado, Hsu Hao, Li Mei... Someone must die in every new MK. This IS Mortal Kombat after all, isn't it?

Besides, I think that MK needs some new blood already. Enough of Johnny Cage/Rayden/Jax/Sonya/Kung Lao etc. Bring on some new and only those old, who weren't in for a long period. I'm not happy with Ermac, Noob and Nightwolf, but Baraka, Mileena and Sindel are great news.

There hasn't been a Mortal Kombat Released to date without new characters. Expects new faces.

Lets just hope the roster is extremely large this time around so everyone gets that they want.

Honestly, no. just keep the current cast of characters for the games up to MK:DA and then flesh out the stories some more... i know we'll have more characters, but then again, nothing on new characters so far has been said, aside from the Dragon King, of course.

i would say 2 new for every old charecter
