Peter Moore thinks for us in this article, so we don't have to. We, the consumer obviusly are not concerned with backwards compatibility. Plus they already "over delivered" making more games backwards compatible then they should have. Like 200 or 300 games. And of those more than 1/4 actualy work well! (we all know how deception was compatible... NOT) here's trmk's response to Deception being compatible on 360 if you have not seen it yet: http://www.trmk.org/features/Mortal_Kombat_Deception_on_Xbox_360/
Games are still exclusively being released onto x-box. Many people have just bought a 360 and do not have a regular x-box. Microsoft makes enough money, why the hell do they need to force us to buy an x-box to play games decently?
How does this relate to Armageddon? According to the interview, it looks like they are going to stop trying, and see if future games happen to work on a 360 by chance.... This means it's unlikely that Armageddon will be playable on the 360.

One thing that Xbox 360 users with hard drives benefit from is backwards compatibility with Xbox 1 titles, but some gamers have been underwhelmed by the volume and quality of games that are compatible on the new system. It doesn't look like much is going to change either, based on Moore's latest comments in the interview. "Nobody is concerned anymore about backwards compatibility. We under promised and over delivered on that. It's a very complicated thing... very complex work. I'm just stunned that we have hundreds of games that are backwards compatible."
He added: "more are coming, but at some point, you just go, there's enough, let's move on, or people aren't as worried about a game being backwards compatible - and I like to think we've upheld our end of the bargain in making at least two or maybe three hundred games backwards compat."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
If Midway really wants MK:A backwards compatible, they can push it, or they can release the game as is on 360.
As far as MS goes, if anyone actually heard what they said about backwards compatibility before the 360 was released, only the top selling games would be compatible. It sounded like perhaps 25-50 games would be compatible, so it's pretty cool that they have 200+ games (including EA's Black, I'm sure EA worked in conjunction with MS to get it to work).
And also, it doesn't make business sense to support new games. If *anyone* has been following the news, the sales for Xbox games dropped *sharply* after the 360 came out, most likely because the Xbox audience is slightly older than the PS2 audience, so many heavy users of the Xbox probably went out and bought the 360 right away since they could afford it, while traditionally on other consoles which have younger users, they can't buy the latest console, so they still get games for their older console. Got it?

No. It doesn't make sense to me. What does that have to do with backwards compatability?

Midway can only do so much, you heard Boon himself.Midway can do their part, the fans(us) have to do ours and now it's up to Microsoft.
They better MAKE MK:A one of those BC games!I don't have a 360 yet, but one of my best friends does and he keeps asking me about it.

If theres not a high interest in xbox 1 games anymore, then MS would have to bleed money to make more games compatible. This forum really isn't representative of the general public.

Exactly, instead of bitching about Peter Moore's comments - sign this petition to let Microsoft know that the community wants MKA made compatible with the Xbox 360. Otherwise, shut the fuck up because you aren't doing your part.

Ps2 emulated all psx games (exept for a VERY select few) perfectly because they pretty much included all the hardware that was in the original playstation. For Ps3, they are going to use software rather than hardware, just like x-box 360... It's likely to be the same case, it all depends on how much sony cares vs microsoft.
