Dragon King: Does Kahn finally have a replacement?

We were introduced to Shao Kahn 11 years ago. Since then, he has defined evil in Mortal Kombat. The one true attempt to replace him, Shinnok, was a miserable failure. Do you think the Dragon King is finally the replacement for Kahn that MK's been needing for so long?
