So on the intro to MKD, the Dragon King seems pretty damned powerful. The combined forces of Shang, Quan, and Rayden failed to stop him. So is Sub Zero going to? Or any character? Or are you going to beat him in the game only to find out the story has your character defeated...ala MKDA.
And with his power, how was he ever defeated? They are going to have to explain a lot for this to have it make sense, otherwise they might manage to make the story worse than MKDA confused
Also in the footage where he fights Shujinko,it looks like Shujinko hits him several times, but at the end of the round it "Fatality... FLawless Victory" So he's gonna be hard to beat most definately.

Well, everyone has a weak point, no matter how powerful they are, there is always a flaw.

This, we will hopefully discover in the game.

There are three rules for doing scientific research. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

There will probably some sort of magic trick that can keep him at bay, or a cleverly thought out ruse. After all, how did Shao Kahn obtain power in Outworld? Let's not forget that Kahn was known for brute force ànd villainous trechery.

As for Sub-Zero, I expect his dragon amulet has something to do with it all.

Cheers,

Maybe he can only be hurt by weapon. Sensing your special moves useless

I'm sure he has a weak point...I wonder what it will be...

As for Shao Kahn gaining power, I think Shao Kahn was a supressed form of the Dragon King. Maybe the Dragon King was incapsolated in a weaker form and after Shao Kahn was killed and the Dragon King's old army reserected, he was able to return......ok so I doubt anything like that would happen but it sounds ok to me.

shao khan isn't dead, and the Dk i think can only lose by deathtrap and doesnt have a powerbar. That video you were talking about where shuginko was whooping Dk ass for a lil bit and DK finish him with one hit and it say Flawless victory from DK yet Dk got hit in the match is weird.

Either you can only beat him with deathtrap OR when you deathtrap him he will fly back up to the platform and only HE can send you in that deathtrap but you cant send him making that stage even harder.

I also think he throws elemental orbs at you. Those orbs seen in the spikes of the stage. when they(ED Boon) said he is like a kintoro i think he meant it. I also think projectiles will bounce back towards you.

The storyline is stupid as hell though, if those 3 cant beat DK, and they whooped shao khans and lui kangs ass easily, then shuginko could easliy beat DK by himself???? bunch of BS.

When you win in round 2, it should show the DK retreating, flying up to the roof and flying out of the arena as your fighter looks up watching him fly away. That should be the ending of the match(since Dk does the voice for the game i think, then he wouldnt annouce his own match just like shao khan in mk2 didnt announce his own match, and he sure as HELL will NOT hari kiri Himself.(hmmm gives me an idea, whoever can get 2 flawless victories over the DK should witness his Hari Kari) that would be worth getting two flawless vics.

It probably shows your fighter grabbing the amulet and smashing it in the spikes of the stage.

wtahever the case DK will be around maybe for another 3 or 4 MK games, just different forms and bigger each time to make him different from the other games. Shinnok in his dragon form could easily kill DK and kick his ass and own that bitch. But shinnok in his human looking form can even whoop Styker or jax.

you like the sound of that huh. I like the look of that asian female in your sig and avatar, i also like the sound of THAT. damn subzero masta where are you i like that chick too, dammit i wanna chick in my sig.

Anyway, i also think DK will have unlimited combo breakers so good luck, i think you can only beat him on master choose your destiny and on hard mode. I think the other ones stop at the Sub-boss and says TRY a different difficulty to experience the real last boss, ONAGA, the dragon king.

Kinda like MK: subzero, it stops at the fire god and you have to change difficulty to hard to fight quan chi and shinnok and the other levels, and start the game all OVER with the new difficulty which sucked.

I hope Onaga won't be too hard... :/

And I don't understand why some people continue to claim that Kahn is alive... Maybe he will resurrect, but in MKDA, he was dead... Some clues are undisputable... (However, Kabal was supposed to be dead too, and he's in the game as main character, so, as canon-character...)

Umm the reason that people still claim Kahn alive is because he is alive, its been said numerous times by the mk development team.

Anyways Onaga may be hard at first but like any video game out there you just have to learn his attack patterns and which looking for the starting animations of a certain move to counter attack, pretty soon he will be like any other MK boss and can be defeated at will.

I like the idea of defeating Onaga when his lifebar is gone and knocking him into a death trap, it kinda reminds me about Gargos in Killer Instinct 2 where after his bar takes a maximum damage you have to knock him into the air to defeat him, you coud use as many ground attacks as you want but he wouldnt die until he was knocked into the air.

Thus, MK Team is not able to write a coherent story... :/

I think you will have to knock DK into the spikes like 3 or 4 times to finish him off. Anything else seems very unrealistic for something of his size and strength. You would have to knock him back and when he falls he pulls himself out (just about how tough he is) then 2 or 3 more times and he will be defeated.

Its possible but remember its just a game... the storyline has to make him out to be really tough but it doesnt neccessarily have to be so in the game.

For example Shinnok was a powerful elder god who was partly responsible for the death of an entire civilization and probably still should be stronger than any mortal in MK4, but in the game you could pick someone like jarek and beat Shinnok as easily as any other character.

Maybe the orbs make the DK invulnerable, and you have to work your way around the ring breaking them all before you can start beating up the DK himself.

i believe that when shujinko hit the dragon king was round 1, but when dragon king kicked him into spikes was round 2, which would explain the Flawless Victory
