EARTHREALM cant pass the guard on second bridge. HELP

hello,
I purchased MKD last friday, I'm really loving it.
I need some help.. that second gaurd on the second bridge in EARTHREALM, there is a chick next to him that mentions the butcher.
How do i pass this guy... i can't get the butcher to give me anything...
Thanks an advance.. this looks like the most informative MKD message board i've seen online . looking forward to reading any responses. furious

i believe you have to talk to apep first, then talk to the guard, go back to the butcher, and THEN go back to guard and give him the ham

apep is the person that takes you on the missions to where bo' rai cho's training classes are located. you have to train with bo' rai cho. that guard near the bridge, i don't think you can pass there until after you do the rest of the missions in that area. there's a time when you have to cross that bridge for the next class, and THAT'S when the butcher will give you the meat and shit
