Ok, so the MK team has announced that MK7 is planned on being released on next gen consoles. Now, there are two endings in Deception that can serve up as prelude to this.
Ermac- In his ending, Ermac frees Lui Kang's friends. Yet he senses a greater force, that was even manipulating the Dragon King himself. He believes that this victory will be short lived.
Havik-In his ending, he tears Onaga's heart out of his body and then absorbs the power to reanimate the dead. We then see him ressurecting Kahn, for the sole purpose of bringing Chaos to Outworld again.
Which of these endings do you think the MK Team would go with? Ermac's? Havik's? Both? Or neither and make up a new beggining.

You can tell the sequel is oging to be great if Onaga got manipulated I think his regular body is the real threat and will come back to life just like Lui Kangs spirit and body. So i think Ermacs will happen but I want Haviks to also happen because I want Saho Kahn back.

Well, who else can re-animate the dead? Tsung and Onage were both killed. And we can assume that it was the Dragon King that used Lui Kang's corpse to do his bidding. So what greater power can be next in line? The One Being perhaps? Or maybe an Elder God.

Sindel's ending plays a part in this as well revealing that the Onaga we all fight is actually Reptile, not the real Onaga. So its very possible the real Dragon King will come forth, but seeing Shao Kahn again would kick ass. I think all three will come to be true, since they can all tie into each other.

You could even tie this with Konquest. I havent beaten it yet. But my feeling is that Damashi is connected to Onaga (or Onaga himself), Imbedding himself in Reptiles body was just away to make him self "mortal" otherwise he would never be defeated.
Other then that Ermac and Havik do have some tie into the next one I hope.

Onaga can defeated the Deadly Alliance and Raiden because he has the 6 Kamidogus, and Onaga obtains a power like an Elder God... without them, Onaga's power is like the another bosses (Shao Kahn, Shinnok, Deadly Alliance).
And, if Ermac & Havik Endings can be true... probably Raiden & Liu Kang Endings too... and Raiden becomes evil power and Havik reviving Liu Kang...

I personally think that the elder gods are stopping the one being from coming back because he would take over their ruling. whoever said that the one being was bad or that the elder gods were good? IMO the elder gods have always just been looking out for themselves in this entire war. the only reason made a tournament to stop shao kahn from merging outworld with earthrealm was so that the realms wouldnt become one again.
I think this may also be why they created orderrealm, to carry out their bidding through their love for the law. with that in mind I also beleive that the people in chaosrealm know exactly what the elder gods are doing and are doing everything they can to keep the realms in constant turmoil to help and stop the realms from joining. this would result in a stalemate and the forces would keep going on in chaos forever. Im sure john vogals gonna do a great job in his storyline but this is my opinion. its kinda like how he kept sayin hotaru will keep the law no matter what...well the elder gods will keep themselves in exsistense for as long as possible and by any means, even if it does mean using evil poeple or good people.
when we talk about ermacs ending it does seem very true because there isnt any specific information, just that there is something coming, so besides the fact that he freed luis friends we can throw that away completely because it gives no info for the future besides who will be involved in it.
Haviks ending as well as kabals endings are both very easily true because havik may have resurrected shao kahn and then been slain (or thought slain, who knows with the chaos people who love death) by kabal and now the black dragon has the ablility to resurrect members and forge strong alliances with this new power. If the BD was going to be good or evil they will become much more than a pawn in this battle with their ability to have unstoppable armies. hopefully kabal with choose the right people to help for the storyline and not go just for money (or go for money then decieve them and help the others! muhahaha grin
*breaths deeply* anywho thats a few cents of mine so there ya go!

I think this is whats likely to happen;
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
As Sub-Zero and Kenshi trekked across Outworld, they strove to keep themselves hidden, only traveling at night. But as they neared the portal to Earthrealm, the Dragon King zealot Hotaru attacked with a blast of glowing energy that temporarily blinded Sub-Zero. Kenshi's sense of sight is of a spiritual nature, thus, he was unaffected by the intense flash of Hotaru's projectile attack. In the dark, Kenshi had the advantage. Hotaru did not see his approach. Unaware, he strode in to kill Sub-Zero. It was the last mistake he would ever make.
Once they had defeated the enemies of Havik, Kabal complimented Kobra and Kira on their ferocity in battle. Their true test, however, was to face each other, to decide which of them was worthy of the new Black Dragon clan. Neither refused the challenge. Kobra fought with ferocity, but his lack of discipline allowed Kira to control the battle, easily minupulating Kobra into exposing himself to her attacks. She defeated him and proved her worth to Kabal, who gave her the honor of finding two more recruits to pit against each other in Mortal Kombat.
In an outer chamber of the Dragon King's throne room, Ermac did battle with Liu Kang's enslaved comrades. Ermac was more than a match for the five warriors, but their defeat was not his objective. Liu Kang materialized and, one by one, freed their souls while Ermac occupied the rest. Eventually, all five were awakened from their enchantment and freed from Onaga's control. Ermac was pleased that his warrior skills could for once bring about a noble outcome. He sensed, however, that an ominous force still shaped the destiny of the realms. It was everywhere. He could feel its influence on Onaga, though the Dragon King was oblivious to its manipulation. Time was running out. Ermac feared the celebration of this latest victory would be short-lived.
So that Shujinko would be able to defend himself during the quest to find the Kamidogu, Onaga had given him the power to absorb the fighting ability of any warrior he encountered. But his 'gift' would prove to be his undoing. The warriors in Outworld were in disarray. Heroes were not focused on the true threat of Onaga, and villains were unaware that they were bringing about their own destruction by serving him. Shujinko united them, and in one moment, absorbed their combined fighting power. Shujinko shattered each of the Kamidogu, the source of Onaga's invulnerability. This weakened Onaga, and Shujinko attacked him without mercy. His mortal form was no match for a kombatant infused with the powers of so many warriors. The Dragon King was finally defeated. The realms will remain as they have since the beginning.
Raiden's patience for mortals had worn thin. If Raiden is to protect Earthrealm, he must punish those who would threaten it. The fool Shujinko had let himself be deceived into believing that he worked for a greater good. He was in fact an unknowing tool of a greater evil - one that had almost caused the destruction of Earthrealm. That Shujinko undid his mistake and destroyed the Dragon King is of no importance. Those who place Earthrealm in harm's way will pay with their lives.
Shujinko had defeated the Dragon King, but left his broken body unattended on the floor of his throne room. Not long ago, a similar fate had befallen his former advisor, Shao Khan. Havik ripped the still-warm heart from the carcass and consumed it, thus absorbing Onaga's power to reanimate the dead. Had the Dragon King succeeded in his plans for total domination, the never-ending turmoil of life would have come to a stifling halt. Those who defeated him believed that the realms were at rest once more, but Havik vowed to restore the Chaos that once ravaged Outworld. Shao Khan would rule again!
Liu Kang's friends had been freed, Onaga had been defeated, and the realms were secure once more. But there was one battle that remained. Liu Kang's body had been used by some unknown force as a tool of destruction. It had left death in its wake and needed to be stopped. The chaos would end in Earthrealm. The fight raged with neither kombatant able to best the other, when a jolt of energy crackled through them both. Liu Kang's nerves blazed like fire, and he felt a rush of air fill his lungs for the first time since his death. He was Liu Kang once more: Protector of Earthrealm, Champion of Mortal Kombat.

Most likely, the One Being will return. Sindel's and Nightwolf's endings will probably come true, with Sindel using the spell to return Onaga's spirit to his original body (after he's defeated, but not before he merges the Kamidogu) and prevent him from revinging in it once more, and Nightwolf sealing Onaga's spirit in the Netherealm after his second death.
Raiden would be discovered to have been tainted by the subconcious mind control that the One Being used to manipulate Onaga when he used his ethereal blast to try and kill the DK, and is now being used by the One Being to rally Earth into a suicidal battle to reduce or destroy any resistance he might encounter once he tries to merge Earth with himself. Fujin will return to try and stop Raiden, of course.
Havik will tear out Onaga/Reptile's heart after he's defeated in order to revive Shao Kahn, and Kahn will, once again, be under the One Being's influence, with Havik and Reiko by his side.
Scorpion would be sent by the Elder Gods to kick ass and take names, as usual.
Smoke will most likely begin to reject his reprogramming, prompting Noob to form an alliance with Sektor for the nanotechnology he needs to make his army.
Stryker WILL return, but most likely be on the run after refusing an offer by Raiden to join in the fight (he'd be considered a traitor by Raiden for this, and be hunted down).
We'll see more of the Vampire race, Khameleon, and other members of different realms join in the fight against the One Being.
Kabal and his new Black Dragon (minus Kobra, having been killed by Kira in her ending) will be aiming to steal the merged Kamidogu in order to make them unstoppable.
Sonya, Jax, and their gang will be split between the revival of the Black Dragon and fighting the One Being.
Sub-Zero will continue his alliance with Kenshi against the One Being.
Ermac and Liu Kang will form an alliance against Raiden and the One Being, as well as to find whoever revived Kang's body.
Reptile, Mileena, and Baraka will not return, with Baraka being killed by Mileena, Mileena subsequently being killed by a returned and un-controlled Kitana, and Reptile being defeated and killed as the temporary host of Onaga's soul.
Kai will return to join in the fight, but mainly against the newly evil Raiden.
Johnny Cage will either die or fight the One Being, rethinking his career as a pompus bastard of a movie star.
Ashrah will continue to hunt down Noob, but will be sidetracked by Sareena.
Dairou and Darrius will stop their freedom-fighting in light of the war against the One Being.
Hotaru will be killed by Kenshi, as per Kenshi's ending.
Bo' Rai Cho will fail to permanently rescue Li Mei from Onaga's grasp and will be forced to kill her.
And, finally, Hornbuckle, Skarlet, Zebron, and all the other obscure and pretty much useless filler characters out there will sit around the couch and ponder why the Gods hate them so.
