In the Konquest Mission 9 of Kenshi:

Kenshi was taught the Telekinetic Slam by Ermac in return for freeing him from the control of the Emperor"

It would most likely seem that Ermac would turn on Kenshi, but in most cases of master and apprentice, Kenshi (apprentice) would then be the one to turn on Ermac (master). Only problem is that it's not like Ermac trained Kenshi for years under his wing, so the story can be greatly altered.
