actually, Ermac was in the first mortal kombat.. the arcade version at least. whenever the internal cpu went into some glitch that the computer could resolve itself, Ermac or "Error Macro" would appear onscreen (like Reptile did every so often) wearing a red ninja costume, in that triumphant pose that both sub-zero and scorpoin struck after winning a round.

because so many people had heard of this Ermac but had never seen him, like a lot of other MK rumors (Animalities, Fatality-Babailities, Fatality-Friendships)* it later materialized in a later game .. MK Trilogy I think it was.

*there was a rumor that Sub-Zero had a third fatality in MK2 in which he turned into a polar bear and mauled his opponent, and was called by that ominous-announcer voice an "Animality"

also, apparently the first versions of MK2 had babalities in which the infantized opponents were killed. this actually makes some sense because they're pretty much pointless as they are in MK2/3

there are always a lot of rumors for each MK game.. many of which people have detailed, apparently 'first-hand' sightings of them ..one time a kid told me all about a "living forest" stage fatality.. and a scorpion friendship in which he writes Sub Zero a letter promising to never take his mask off again.. after which he removes his mask and does you know what.

I think these rumors come directly from the Boon/Tobais Midway offices.. either as a way of keeping people interested, searching for things in the games, or playing on the fact that there are so many 'trainspotter' MK fans that eat that kind of shit up (this forum), or they are most likely ideas that were scrapped, or weren't included in that version of the game that they were thinking of adding to future games.. which truned out to be true for a lot of these.. eg: animalities

I'm excited about deception esp. for this reason because not only is it everything MK:DA SHOULD have been (fatalities, stage fatalities, online, etc) but it seems to be filled with secrets; some more elusive than others (ie, there are blanks in the player select screen that can be filled after you unlock characters, but there are also secrets that aren't even hinted at anywhere in the game.)

does anyone know if ALL characters (including unlockable and secret ones) have 2 fatalities?

look out for me online in October.. I'm gonna be the player to watch for REAL.
