Evil Sonya: Should Sonya KILL Jax?

I have always been a fan of the Evil Sonya idea. Not only would it be a completely new/fresh change to her story, but it would also revolve around other characters stories.

I think an Evil Sonya has potential. I picture her with 2 style of Outfits:

1o Evil/New look

-Black Hair WITH a LITTLE of Blond at the end and front.

-Blue/Red Eyes

-Black Costume. (Style: Similar to a Bride Dress, but black!)

2o Normal/Good (The Sonya we all know and love)

-Blond Hair

-Blue Eyes

-SF/Army Otfit (style of MkDA)

As for her story, I think we can all think of 1 billion ways to turn a good character evil, but I think only 5 of those 1 billion ways are good, so we must put some thought to it.

I think it would be interesting to make Sonya kill her partner and best friend, Jax. Its a perfect way to get rid of Jax, a perfect start, specially since it adds some sort of drama and confusion (for a limited time since no one really stays dead).

Jax is one important part of Sonya, and having his best friend killing him insted of a black/red dragon is a shocking start.

The reasons:

1o She could be under the spell/control of the Dragon King.

2o She could REALLY turn evil for a limited time. (Not likely to ever happen)

The one story I really loved about a possible chance of Sonya being evil came from the comics. She was forced (dark magic created by Reptile) to marry Shao Kahn, by doing this brutal act, the forces of balance of the 2 realms (Earth and Outwold) would be broken.

So, IF the Dragon King decides to marry Sonya (a mortal from Earth) he would instantly become King of not only Outworld, but also Earth. (Story idea used for Shao Kahn in the comics)

So we get to the point of playing with an evil Sonya Blade, with a completely new story that can have big effect on many others such as: Jax (duh!), Johnny Cage, Rayden, and her team of warriors of light!

She can be used to:

1o Trick her friends by pretending she is good.

2o A secret spy of the dragon king, revealing to him the plans of her friends and their locations so he can eliminate them.

3o Earths doom.

4o OR she can reveal herself to be evil and fight against them insted of hidding her new role in mortal kombat.

I think she has potential to join the forces of darkness. It would be a big deception, and one big problem for the Choosen Warriors.

And if you dont like the idea...well, at least Jax is dead, right? (Note: I dont hate Jax)

Anyway, your description terrifies me, and would only make me hate Sonya further if she turned into a goth.

The only way I can see Sonya killing Jax is if something bigger was on the line and/or she was forced too, which really wouldn't make her evil anyway. I think a big bad boss character would rather try and marry someone who actually has some kind of significance, such as Kitana or Sindel (who rule Edenia). Sonya is just a warrior in the game storyline. Nothing more.

Summary: Sonya being evil shouldn't happen ever (anything but goth Sonya!). Let someone who is actually worth it kill Jax, like Mavado or someone. He's evil enough.

I understand if you dont like the idea and I respect that, but I dissagree with you. How can Kitana and Sindel bring something new to the story if the DK marries one of them? He would only become king of outworld, which he is already.

Sonya is important to the story, and has some kind of significance no matter how much you hate her.

Sounds like a plan to me, queve! Killing Jax would be great! Even if it wasn't Sonya that did it! I wouldn't want to see Miss Blade evil though. It should be more a case of him slowly dyng so she just finishes him off or something! However he dies, it works for me. Good riddance! Yes, I hate him!

I think Jax dying would give Sonya a story boost, since it would continue a theme of loss in Sonya's life (brother dead, partner dead, her team in MK1 dead...) and seeing how she'd deal and react to Jax's death culd be interesting. However, I don't see her doing the killing. At least not of her own free will. It'd be out of character. I also don't see Sonya turning evil because of it. Maybe she'd go a little nutty, but not evil.
And I personally am not fond of the whole marrying Sonya will open the portal or whatever. For Sonya, it just seems too weird. I can see that for Kitana, Sindel, maybe even Mileena, but not Sonya. That'd be like "The blood of Stryker holds the key to destroying the universe!" or "If Johnny Cage ever gets married the Apocaypse shall start!"
Gives this kind of "huh?"

Jeez....why does everyone hate Jax? If he gets out of the Ghetto and ditches the metal arms OK! HE'S BETTER! why don't you all right a letter to Midway saying "PLZ MAKE JAX DITCH METAL ARMS!"

Anyways to the topic. I agree Sonya's story is declining. But is it declining THAT much that she would have to kill Jax to get some people back into her. Im confused now writing all of this -_-''

Well....I gotta say that I'm not really too fond of these ideas....

I would like Jax to be killed by Mavado since Jax killed Hsu Hao. And no, I don't mean Mavado's storyline involving getting revenge on Jax. I mean Mavado just killing Jax and moving on to bigger fish to fry!!

As for Sonya, I don't like the idea of her being controlled by the Dragon King and being married to him.

I doubt that Sonya will be a playable character in Mortal Kombat: Deception anyway. I don't think that her storyline was ever declining because I never really felt that her storyline quality was that great so I always pretty much felt that her storyline has been the same mediocre quality.

Although.....I do like that Sonya and Frost dislike each other though I don't think it'll evolve even further...at least not until a future MK game like MK7 or something like that....

An evil Sonya isn't too bad of an idea in my opinion though I think it should be due to other influences.

Ya Hopefully they both die eventually along with Cage, to me all three characters have worn out there welcome and really bring nothing to the table anymore story wise gameplay wise there all still decent but other than that there worthless.

Well, the KILL jax part seems pretty good. But Sonya really hasent a good reason to become evil at this point :x

sonya will never turn evil and i think she will be killed in deception. there are way too many powerful characters for her to survive and continue on now. i hope the oni make her suffer.

What the heck was that seriously Queve lol? Sonya turning evil and changing costme because of it? The idea is really wack...and killing Jax? No. Liu Kang becoming evil, now that's cool lol.

Like you, I think Sonya is a cool character but I'm disappointed in you...first you like Britney, the biggest nerd ever and now you come up with this geek idea lol...ok I'm just playing now.
