I mean, why would you want to commit suicide when you're purpose in the game is to beat the living hell out of your apponent, now don't get me wrong, this is a cool idea, but it just doesn't make any sense to me, I mean is there like a point for you commiting suicide?? You obviously don't win THAT fight......

They are at the end of the fight if you lose you can kill yourself instead of letting the opponent do it, so you keep that bit of self respect you had before you lost.

Hari Kari is an exelent idea, and will play out very well with the Online mode of this game. I can't wait to test out my button pressing skills against other players. I will do my best not to get a fatality performed on me.

I don't really know what the point in MK for them is, or at least not gameplay wise I don't. But in Samurai Shodown (where I remember suicides originating from)...killing yourself gave you a rage meter the next round (I think). MK just has them in there as an extra thing to do.

Exactly, it's just an extra thing to do. It does nothing for gameplay, but it's just a fun little smack in the face to your opponent. "I may have lost the match, but I got the last laugh!"

Geez, I've been a member since MKDA was just a pic of Scorpion and Jax looking at each other and I have less than 2,000 visits. I should really log in more...

I'll probably use the hari kiri only when I'm fighting against somebody I don't like. Like if I'm fighting against someone I know that I really don't like and they whoop up on me, I'll just kill myself then laugh and tell them they suck and are too slow to finish me. wink
