If memory serves correctly, the official MK websites usually always have this sort of poorly hidden secret area, they generally place concept art of stages or characters on them. Though usually we get more then just a wall of question marks. I assume some stuff will be revealed in time. I think I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd guess the upside down question marks hide art relating to DC, while the normal ones hide are related to MK, or vice versa.
