I've tried talking about this before but nobody really cared, so I stopped trying.
Anyway, with MKD's engine, there's just no way in hell capoeira could have worked. Can you imagine how stiff that would be? The engine is just too restricting to allow for the type of movement capoeira entails, and unless the engine is completely overhauled, I don't think it's something we'll be seeing anytime soon (at least I hope not - that would be horrible).

What would fit in MK universe as a fighting style is:
Ha Say Fu, Chan Kin, Feldenkrais, Capoueira (only if MK7 engine would support that kind of m.art), Tang Lang, Goshindo, Togakure Ryu Ninpo, Kyokushinkai karate, Shiranavajramouthi, Tae Bo (maybe for Jax or a heavy hard hit style charcter) Sen Fi-Haka Feeling, Shinergy, Bak Sil Lum Shaolin, Faan Tsi, Fudokan, Wu Shu (why did they left this out? It one of the most popular and reknown styles) ... and so on.
As for weapons, I think there are enough varieties of swords in the game already: how about a Yari, Kabutsushi, Hussar Saber :) (since Im Hungari-an) Flanged Mace, Heraldic Shield, Standard Gothic Long Sword, Combat Chains, ...
It may be also interesting to know, that Drunken Fist is only a fictive style. Jackie Chan created the style out of his own when he was told to develop his movement and motion culture when acting in the film Drunken Master

i dunno, he confirmed, that he created the style used in the film. maybe you could send me the correct name of that drunken style.
