Actually it is possible he is the boss of Konquest... He trains all through the years that you do and turns on you in the end... okay maybe its a stretch but its possible if hes in konquest mode hes there to learn. Ultimate Ryu's idea is possible too and pretty good... Shang Tsung is Apep and the entire Konquest mode he pretends to lead you on the right path but leads you astray where you have to fight him or someone else... who knows, the game is named Deception for a reason.

He's a kid, as time goes by his voice will be deeper. As for the Lin Kuei thing, I don't think Apep should be a member of a clan like that.

Could there be more behind the Konquest's Apep then we have seen so far? I did a quick search online using the name Apep and found out that Apep was the name of an ancient Egyptian god of evil and darkness. This is what I found, basically copy and pasted it. Included a few comments on how this could relate to the MK storyline in [ ].

Other Names: Apophis, the Destroyer.

Patron of: evil and darkness.

Appearance: a great serpent or crocodile.

Description: Apep was the ancient spirit of evil and destruction who dwelled in eternal darkness. Every day he would attempt to devour the Sun Boat of Ra as it sailed the heavens. Set's original role was to battle Apep and keep him from destroying the boat. Occasionally, Apep would succeed, and the world would be plunged into darkness (a solar eclipse?)[Or the sky changing due to another realm attempting to assimulate Earthrealm much as Outworld did in MK3?]. But Set and his companion Mehen would cut a hole in Apep's belly to allow the Sun Boat to escape. [The death and/or defeat of the Dragon King? I'm not certain, did they ever say how he died? His army may have been undefeatable, but was he?]

Apep commanded an army of demons that plagued mankind. Only by putting faith in the gods of light [Rayden and the other gods of Earthrealm?] could people defeat the demons. [Oni? Vampires? Both?]

Every year, a ritual called the "Banishing of Apep" would be held by the priests of Ra. They would take an effigy of Apep and in the center of the temple they would pray that all the wickedness in Egypt would go into the effigy. Then they would trample the effigy, crush it, beat it with sticks, pour mud on it, and eventually burn and destroy it. In this way, the power of Apep would be curtailed for another year.

Worship: Not worshipped. Ever. [Guess there were no Black/Red Dragons back then.]
