Someone wrote a thread about having another funny-character in MK as a bunny-man or a school girl...
I want to take a step further, by actually taking a bunny character, who's in Square's new game FF12!
Name: Fran
Race: Viera - Looks human with rabbit features like ears, snout and claws.
Realm: Ivalice
Weapon: Bow and Arrows
Story:
Once a peaceful realm, Ivalice's people was careless and happy... Everything was perfect!
Ivalice didn't have contact with the other realms, because of the death and destruction, which was unknown to the people of Ivalice.
But that was about to change. An emperor from Outworld, a world of mutants, had taken over two realms with his army and headed towards Ivalice. His name was Shao Kahn and he wanted all power to become the supreme leader, by starting to take over the weaker realms. The king and queen of Ivalice didn't have an army, so it was easy for Kahn to take Ivalice as his own. Much of the population was killed, and those who survived were corrupted and turned into mutants as well.
After years of torment and pain, the emperor died. Kahn was killed. But somehow Ivalice was still connected to Outworld. And so the Vieras praied to the Exodus, the Viera Totema, for a saviour. The Exodus responded by sending a fighter, who represented the Viera race of what it once was. She was beautiful, had long white hair and was clad in a black armor. Her name was Fran. She was their saviour. And so she went away from Ivalice to save her people from the corruption. The Exodus told her to find an Orb, which had the powers to free Ivalice. But she wasn't the only one, who looked for the Orb. A vampire woman was also after it. The vampire had killed others who were after the Orb, so Fran just followed her. But the vampire knew about Fran's whereabouts and she flew out of sight. Fran knew, she couldn't make it to the Orb, even though she had a high level at speed and endurance. But she couldn't turn back either. So instead she travelled around Outworld and learned, that the legendary Dragon King was soon to ressurrect. The Dragon King had once fought the Exodus and lost. Having the blessing of The Exodus, Fran would seek out this Dragon King and make him free her people.
Even though she found him, she was caught. The Dragon King recognized her features and asked her, what she wanted. She told him and demanded him to free Ivalice. He would, but in return she should do something for him. She should seek out the queen of Edenia and join forces with her. And when the time was right, she would kill her. If not, Ivalice would never gain freedom. Fran agreed, not caring for other people than her own.
Fran then went to Edenia and told about her mission, to free Ivalice and the Dragon King was the only one who could make it so. The queen of Edenia, Sindel, was glad that she had a new ally against the evil king. But what she didn't know was, that she was soon to be decieved...
OK, so what do you think?
I also have some ideas for some moves, but I would gladly hear some of your ideas too!!!
Moves:
- Blessed Arrow: Fran shoots an energized arrow at the enemy. If it connects, Fran will gain the health, which the opponent lose.
- Hare Jump: Fran jumps straight up in the air and lands where she stood.
If the opponent is hit when jumping, Fran grabs him and throws him backwards.
If the opponent is hit when landing, she will stand on his shoulders and make a Frankensteiner.
- Exodus Crush: Fran spins with a knuckle punch 3 times. The last punch will be stronger than the first two and will knock the opponent to the ground.
- Rabbit Kick: A somersault ending with a drop kick. Fran will land on her feet gracefully.
And some...
Fatalities:
- Blessed Rain: Fran shoots several energized arrows up into the air. The arrows will land directly into the opponent. While the arrows hits the opponent, Fran will shoot a final arrow straight into his head, which will fall off and land on the ground.
- Exodus Break: Fran uppercuts the opponent, and when in air, Fran jumps up, grabs the opponent, stands on his shoulders, tears off his head and jumps backwards, landing gracefully on her feet while the body of the opponent smashes into the ground.
- Hare Stomp: Fran jumps up on the opponents shoulders and jumps up into the air, which makes the opponent kneel. She spins in the air and stomps on him several times. She finishes him off by landing on his head, crushing his skull.

Come on, don't be so shallow...
Don't judge it, because it's from FF...
What about the story, the moves??? Or just the main idea???

It still doesn't fit into the MK world at all. A rabbit humanoid? Definate no. Bow and arrow? That's a pretty bad weapon for mostly melee combat. That story's been done not once, but twice! Kitana and Li Mei had a similar story. Hell, even Rain had a story reminiscent of that. The moves remind me more along the lines of a Namco fighting game, something of which isn't like MK at all. Its just an overall bad character to me and wouldn't fit in the MK world.

Hmm, you might be right...
Do you have any ideas then?

Well, I tried... I though it could be a cool idea, but maybe it isn't...
Others who has an oppinion? Come on, tear me down! :P

i think its the character and the weapon. the chars of ff that i think that would fit in mk are the ones of ff8.
but anyway i think that this dude fits more in mk than any ff char:

edit: crap. i wrote mk instead of ff but anyway it sounded funny

I like the look of the character, but the ears take away what could have been a seriously badass character.
The story is a mix of the stories I made for Tanya and Sindel in my MKD bios thread along with some of your own work.
As a look and overall design, I wouldn't put thi scharacter into MK. But lose the ears and change the look a little and she'd be pretty good. And the name isn't too good either. But I stil like the idea.

FF and MK seriously don't mix I like FF and all but if characters from it were in MK I probably wouldn;t bye the game. You go from cheerful and furry little creatures to bad ass fighting and evil MUHAHAHHA

You know who would be a bad ass MK character SOLID SNAKE from Metal Gear Solid that would be a bad ass guy for Deception but it would never happen
0
the only ff characters that would fit mk would be zell and auron, they could be red dragons or black dragons
Eh, I kinda dislike the visual designs of final fantasy 12, liked 7 and 10 much better. Sephiroth and Auron could fit into MK pretty well though.
However, If I were to do a crossover between MK and something, I'd simply throw Vamp and Grey Fox from the Metal Gear series in. Both have weapons, have superhuman fighting skills, and are ****ing badasses.

Okay guys, listen to my totally AWESOME idea...We leave stupid ass characters from other games out of a perfectly good fighter to prevent it from getting it tarnished and ultimately raped! Whoa, now that sounds useful! Let's try to avoid any other game from ever crossing paths with Mortal Kombat. No FF, no Metal Gear, no anything. Mortal Kombat kicks infinite ass with Mortal Kombat characters. Why ruin a bad thing?

A final fantasy like character would be nice, but it would clash with MK.
