See you say that, but I'd bet a whole lot that you check the internet. If not immediately, then still, eventually.
From what we've been told of Konquest, there are far too many loose ends for anyone to do it all on their own. Even if you did do it all on your own, you'd never be sure if you did, what with all the things you could have missed at different times a day.
So though I don't doubt that you'll try to unlock it all on your own, and I admit that that's admirable, I think your patience will get the better of you within a week, tops. If only to check if there's a super unlockable that you've missed, which who knows, there may or may not be.

I'll TRY to go through Konquest for a few days, WIHOUT the guide.
It has been said that the super secret characters get more harder to unlock than the last, so I may cheat and use the guide to unlock them if I get too frustrated.

Excatly!!!Why buy the game if you want find out all the secerts already.
I will also try to figure all the Fatalities myself!!

Personally I was amazed to see fans figure out most of the fatalities/babalities/friendships within like a month of the release of MK II in the arcades.
When you take into consideration the fact that most of the fatalities in MK 2 were "distance" ones,and nobody even knew babalities and/or friendships were in the game
almost forgot about the background fatality combinations.
Also consider,even if one was found,it took a while for the player to actually figure out what buttons he pressed and in what order!Now look at how easy the fatalities were to execute and figure out in MKDA as compared to MK 2,and apply that to your thoughts on turning to the internet or magazines for help.
Now the Super unlockables are a different story because it could be another Goldeneye 64 scenario:(
