The "suicidality" is a dumb concept. I doubt it will be in the finished version of MKD.

i doubt that when u do this "suicidality" it will acctualy say "suicidality". I think ull just kill urself and that will be it. I hope it will be in the final version.

I think it would still say "FATALITY"

How is it dumb when you have the option of doing it? It's optional people, they're not making you do it...good god!

It sounds like its gonna be lame like the mk3 animalities. MKD doesnt need that to bring it down.

Somehow, I don't think they're going to decide 'You know that thing we already programmed? Lets take it out' in the middle of development. If they said its definitely gonna be in, and that its already in there, i'm sure it'll be in. But wait a sec...they said that about a couple dozen things in MKDA, and look how that turned out...

And what if your opponent decides not to finish you off and just chooses to do some kind of combo on you and then before he does you end up doing the "suicidality". Then your screwd. (if the characters had real feelings) It makes the characters seem too scrubby.

I love the idea. It creates 2 fights in one fight. The fight to win, and the fight to finish. I don't plan on letting anyone I defeat stealing my glory by performing a more honorable death. If they do, good for them: they regain some dignity, but have yet to kill me.

The opposition to this new aspect seems to be afraid they won't be able to do their fatality in time. If you are admitting that you are slow, you might want to give up on fighting games.

I do hope, however, they add an xtra button to the hara kiri's to give the winner an advantage.

Anyway, I'm all for the idea and can already see Baraka putting his fist under his chin and sending his blade right up through his head with little pieces of brain on the tip and blood flying everywhere.

Suicide... always more productive then self-defense.

The suicide only comes when defeated though, you are gonna die(lost 2 rounds anyway).

It was considered an honorable death for a samarui to take his own life when facing defeat.

I still love the idea.. no, not the bouncing magic hat trick that you mention, but suicides in general. I could see Kung Lao falling to his knees, removing his hat with his head held high, looking the opponent in the eye, and running the brim of his hat from ear to ear.

First off I loved Friendships...they added humor to the game. Second I think that the voice will say "Hari Kari" instead of fatality. Third i think the more we get the better no matter how bad it is. I like some goofy stuff in serious games. adds variety.

Its Hara Kiri which is an "honorable" suicide. If you dont want to accept defeat and a Fatality from your friend you would be able to end your own life and keep your dignity.

So according to the dictionary, I get the impression that its a suicide of some sort using a weapon, correctly spelt Harikiri but the alternate version is Hari Kari. hope that makes sense lol

I didn't really like the animalitys... but it's not like I hated them, they were kind of funny, they are like semi- serious friendships, except you die... I wasn't embarassed to say cool or laugh at them, they didn't suck they just were not good

it's hari kiri people.If you don't know what that is,ask somebody.No one saw a problem with it when yoshimitsu from tekken performed it in the middle of a match,why the hell should anyone make a big deal about it now?If it's in the game,I have every faith the MK team will do it right.Nuff said.

hari kari would be fun.. if my friend did beat me *which he never will* but if he did.. i would never want to give him the pleasure of a fatality on me... i'd rather die first he he.. i like it... but they need it so you have to switch to like hari kari then enter a combo and who ever does theirs first will get the fatality, wether it be on the opponent or on themselves.

wow.. some one else who knows the proper name for suicide.. but ya hari kari.. i saw some one with a definition of it.. it mean to impale yourself in the chest.. ninjas and stuff did it too retain their honor and make it so their enemys couldn't have the satification of killing them... also it was like a code were if you messed up your clan leader would deman that you commit hari kari..
