Disclaimer: I'm sure someone is going to bitch at me for this, but this thread isn't about me saying you're wrong.

I have neglected to look at many of the screen shots and videos of Deception save the asses who already have screen shots on their avatars and banners, simply because of the thrill of discovery and something new.

So my question is for the ones who have been going crazy about the screen shots and fatality videos, etc. Whats the point of buying the game if you're already viewing and looking for all the stuff?

I mean hell I've seen threads about fatalities, bitching about fatalies, bitching about secret charactors of who is not in it and who should be in it. Whats the point of playing if you already know whats happening?

To me its no different then someone telling me about a movie I haven't seen. I know there are previews, but I consider a preview like the intro video to the game. But I think talking about secret charactors or fatalities is like telling the end of the movie. So I guess I'm saying I don't get the motivation.

Knowing all that doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the game for me.
In fact, it makes me all the more excited for it. I can't wait to play this game and unlock all its secrets. grin

Because it's JUST watching. We don't get to play or experience it full hand. Looking at the stuff is like having a giant cake in front of you and taking a thin slice and then throwing the rest away. Anyone who watching the vids and then goes and DOESNT buy the game is a complete moron. Because we all know if Deception was a cake, no one here would take a little slice and throw the rest away. You'd keep taking more, more, more and more until eventually the cake was gone (or in reality, you beat and find all the secrets in the game). Did that make any sense? LOL

OMG OMG this topic was JUST mentioned yesterday which makes it lik number 20 but ill answer your question you see people dont wanna see media cuz they want their supposed secrets to stay scret and there is a CLEAR diffrence then viewing and playing see there is a reason why ppl dont wanna be spoiled becuz wen they r actually playing the game at their fingertips they want to discover BUT i accept viewing certain things becuase its not lik im playing it itll be totally diffrent BUT PPL PLZ STOP MAKIN THREADZ ABOUT TOO MUCH SPOILERZZ THERE ARE ENUFFF

It is simple, it really is... If you do not want any or all aspects of the game spoilt for you, do not come to this site, because that is exactly what will happen. This is a FANSITE - there are many very excited fans here who will enjoy the game regardless of any influx of prior information - these people represent the majority of this site's users. You come to the site with this knowledge, and still you bitch. There really is no pleasing everyone.

This is a game not a movie. Knowing things about the game fatalities characters ect. dosen't ruin the game. Most of the fun is playing the game and crushing my friends and now strangers too with the addition of Xbox Live capability. Also this MK even with all the things their showing us theirs going to be a million more things in there to unlock. I don't see how your going to compare seeing a few fatalities and character Bios to someone telling you the end of a movie. Your question as to why someone would buy the game after seeing all this boggles my mind. Seeing a game and playing a game are completely different if you don't wanna see or hear things about MK:D until you get the game then why are you on this site? If you don't like spoilers leave...

If you read what I wrote, I already said 1st that I wasn't claiming anyone was wrong for viewing spoilers, I asked for mere explaination of motivation.

Secondly, I also already said I have neglected to look at the spoilers. So getting all high and mighty by stating a common sense solution like: "well if you don't want to see it don't look at it." is really unecessary. That and it does'nt make you appear any smarter

Third, Logan is my real name ya tard.

Now, can we try this again? I am simply inquiring the perspective of those who enjoy looking at spoilers.

Anyone else who is not capable of elementary communication can go stick their foot in a fire ant bed.

I looked at all of the stuff because, until recently, I didn't believe I was even going to get to play the game as a Gamecube owner. Now, with the news that the cube is getting the game, I figure I might as well keep up to date because I've already seen half the stuff anyways.

Ok ummm this isnt schoool i dont need to prove my education in this forum and i say WOW if you think i do im in 3 of 3 honors classez buddu no need to prove anythin i dont know any of you franquly

ANYWAY all i was sayin is that this thread was made atleast 15 timez in the past few weekz yesterday someone posted a thread on the same topic no need to repeat
n by the way what other solution do u hav to stayin away from spoilerz than not lookin and not readin there are none or limit yourself simple unless u went some bigg ass definition

Well only reason I look at it is because I'm quite frankly tired of waiting. And plus, there will be so many secrets and stuff in the game, it's not really ruining it. It's like watching the trailer for a movie. Thats all. Same thing.

Heh heh heh pal seriously, you really need to calm down, this is really unnecessary.

If this topic has been made in the past then I'm sorry. I don't have the time to spend every waking minute on this website to know what goes on all the time.

My thoughts on viewing spoilers are this. Once you have played the game, what keeps you coming back for more? Content, replayability, etc... If your sole purpose of playing the game is the "something new factor," then it will be a short-lived game once you have seen it all.

But, I do agree to some extent about the thrill factor of seeing it for the first time. I am just seeing it early, that's all.

Point is, except for the ones that do not post SPOILER in the subject line, if you do not want to see it ahead of time, then keep away from the threads....besides, there seems to be so much more this time around that this is not that big of an issue.

hey Logan MK, I agree with you, I'm one of those who refuses to see certain things, but somethings I see in order to make me want the game, otherwise I wouldn't know if the game would please me, you know, mostly of what I've seen so far is gameplay. The fatalities, harakiris, intro and stories I save for the actual game

but it's kinda effortless making a thread like this since many people here are brainless...

I'm only dissapointed if I know a characters ending before beating it myself, other than that I welcome all spoilers. Just like I don't like knowing the ending of a movie, unless it sucks..then I gotta know, so I don't waste money.
