Force Lock Blocking Counters and Foot Weapon Blocking in MKD

I was watching Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon last night and saw some techniques in it which I thought would be useful in MKD.
Force Lock Blocking Counters
In one scene where Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi fight at night, Zhang performs a block with her arms across her chest. Michelle counters this by using one arm to press against one of Zhangs arms, trapping both arms and rendering Zhang helpless to any attacks, unless she can use her feet to attack effectively. Whilst pressing on Zhangs arms, Michelle pushes her and uses her free arm to attack.
In MKD, youd use this to counter the opponents high block and then maybe headbutt, elbow or knee them. I think adding those three attacks would be cool. You could also opt to use your feet to attack or punch them in the face.
Foot Weapon Blocking
This technique applies to swords mainly as in Crouching Tiger, low sword attacks were countered by having the defending warrior raise their leg and step on the side of the sword, pinning it to the floor allowing them to counter attack. This led to the attacker having to resort to using their free arm to defend or begin another attack with it.
In MKD youd use this obviously to counter low weapon attacks and some weapons, maybe all, could be broken if stepped on in the right place. This would render them useless. Also, if your weapon is stepped on, youd have the option to keep hold of it and attack and defend with your free arm, or let go of the weapon and attack as normal. You could then pick your weapon up later.

Great Thread TG. I think these would be great for MKD, I especially think the Foot/weapon block as possibilites and would look amazing. Like it were the staff for example the fighter could step on it with such force as to crack or completely break off part of the staff. As I said when you informed me of this idea I believ Ashrah looks like she'd be perfectly suited to the techniques.

Thanks TomTaz. And what you said is what I was getting at. You could snap the staff into half. Ashrah would be perfect fo these techniques. As a demon huntress she'd probably need them.
