Keep exiting until you get your best character for starters. Only use like 4-5 hit combos. That's how I did it anyway. And if you still can't get it, bump it down to Novice setting.

Definitely stick with short combos (between two and four hits) and pokes. During a long combo, it actually takes long enough to do all the hits that he'll regenerate a significant portion of the damage you did. The same thing happens with throws and launchers. Find a character you're good with who has a good short 3 hit combo you can do over and over.
Alternate plans revolve around repeated use of Mileena's drop kick or Baraka's blade chop.
And like the last guy said, if you have that much trouble with it, definitely bump the difficult to novice, you'll still get Scorp's spear no matter what difficulty you use.

I couldn't beat scorpion either. I tried about a hundred times, and i just couldn't beat him. I almost got lucky with Bo Rai Cho with his Drunked Fist style, but I still couldn't win.
The funny thing is, while I was trying to beat Scorpion with Bo Rai Cho, my friend stopped over, and tried it.
He never played before and beat scorpion with bo rai cho. And the whole time, I couldn't beat him after trying for 3 days. GRRRRRRRRRR

try to get Li Mei, she is actually perfect against scorpion, use her windmill front kick while scorpion is in the air use her flying punches she does and you can do the same thing with the backwards windmill kick . the key thing is when you do the front or backwards windmill kick using her flying punches quick it does alot of damage if you do those and while he's in the the air. that's how i beat scorpion is with her.

Also set ting the kombat CPU to novice in options might help too.

You guys can choose which character you want to be when you fight him? Sorry I'm nto good when it comes to the extra buttons that you can use in Konquest. Heck it was only 2 days ago that I found out you can use a map and run LMAO
